This light will visibly communicate the current risk level issued by the DHS by illuminating the appropriate corresponding color: green for low, blue for guarded, yellow for elevated, orange for high, and red for severe. Standard models are available with steady-on LED or incandescent light sources, which can be flashed through the use of a relay or PLC. Additionally, an optional multi-tone horn module in the base of the unit can provide audible notification. Custom units with flashing halogen, incandescent or strobe light sources are available on request. Designed to maximize the viewing surface while minimizing the mounting footprint, each lens incorporates a projection ring to project the light over a distance and diffusion optics for viewing efficiency at close range. All modules have captive gaskets and screws. Designed for use in NEMA 3R and 4X applications. Order Cat. No. 102MP-4, -10, or -15 for 4", 10" or 15" pipe mounting extensions. 3 Pathfinder TM Heavy Duty Rotating Light Twin Sealed Beams 100SB Series Edwards 100SB Series Pathfinder Rotating Beacons have powerful dual sealed beam lamps that rotate 360 degrees within a high impact polycarbonate dome. Polycarbonate domes are safer and easier to clean than glass domes and allow the transmission of more light than heavily colored glass. Polycarbonate domes are also ideal for applications such as those required in food processing plants that prohibit the use of glass. The Edwards 100SB Series also features a PVC coated base that allows for greater corrosion resistance and durability than plastic or simple stamped metal bases. Wiring is routed through the 3/4" NPT hub on the bottom of the unit. The Pathfinder is conduit mounted. It is for heavy duty use in locations where visibility over longer distances is required. All modules are gasketed. The base of the AdaptaLight Stackable Beacon contains a pulsating horn rated at 85dB at 10 feet. The horn can be operated as a sixth independent signal or in conjunction with any one of the light modules. The steady-on modules provide a constant visual signal. They are ideal for start/stop functions, on/off process or continuous duty visual signaling applications. The flashing modules command immediate attention. They work well as a warning signal when used with the steady-on module. Applications include signaling of equipment malfunction. The strobe modules are ideal for high ambient light areas. It can effectively signal urgent status changes when used in conjunction with the incandescent or LED light modules. The LED modules are best for applications where long life (120,000 hours) is a requirement. The AdaptaLight can be surface or 1/2" (13mm) NPT conduit pipe mounted in non-hazardous dust and weatherproof applications. For indoor applications, it may be vertically mounted with lenses facing either up or down. For weatherproof installation, the unit must be mounted vertically with lenses facing up. All modules are gasketed. The Triliptical Stackable Status Indicator bases are available in three models. A shorter base for conduit or surface mounting or a larger base designed for use with an optional tone module assembly. The larger base is also available with an optional DeviceNet interface. The Triliptical diffusion optic lens allows viewing from close up while still projecting the light through use of a built-in projection ring. The lenses are available in six colors: red, amber/orange, yellow, blue, green, and clear. Each light source module contains a removable cover to allow for easy relamping. The light module cover features a molded-in gasket for dust tight reliability. Double optics and the triliptical design provides an increased viewing area without increasing the base diameter. The lens modules can be easily stacked together utilizing an internal retaining assembly. Two tone modules are available. A single tone module and a tone selectable tone module - one tone selectable from eight available tones. Provides up to 85 db at 5 feet. The multi-tone module is also available with an optional DeviceNet interface that allows all eight tones to be controlled over a DeviceNet network. 7 TECHNICAL INFORMATION DeviceNet Compatible Stackable Status Indicator The 102 Series Triliptical Stackable Status Indicator has been tested by ODVA's authorized independent test lab and complies with ODVA conformance test software. The Triliptical DeviceNet Stackable Beacon is a slave device. It is a general purpose status indicator designed to indicate the status of a machine or process. The unit contains a preprogrammed microcontroller which implements the Group 2 predefined Master/Slave Connection Set. This allows for one Explicit Messaging Connection and one Poll Connection. The Stackable Beacon resets automatically when DeviceNet power is applied. The DeviceNet interface is in the Triliptical DeviceNet Base, 102TBS-DN, which interfaces between the DeviceNet network and all installed stacklight modules. The unisolated physical layer contains DeviceNet required mis-wiring protection circuitry. A standard open style (unsealed) 5 pin connector is used to connect the Stackable Beacon to the DeviceNet bus. The current draw from the bus is 0.12A. The power required to drive the lamps is supplied separately from the bus power for the 120V AC (N5) version. DC power for the 24V DC (G1) version may be taken locally or from the DeviceNet Network. A standard open style 2 pin connector is used to connect 24V 1.6A or 120V AC at 0.6A to drive the 5 light sources. The DeviceNet compatible unit provides for complete light source diagnostics. Each light source: LED, strobe, halogen or incandescent is continuously monitored for operability. An inoperable or missing light source is reported on the DeviceNet network. The Chameleon is designed such that any one or all three lights can be activated by either a PLC or contact closure. The first light activated will illuminate either steady or flashing (set by an internal jumper). If a second light is activated, the Chameleon cycles between the two colors. A third activation causes the Chameleon to cycle between all three colors: red, amber, and green or red, amber, and blue. The Chameleon 103 Series has all the functionality of the 103I with the exception of the onboard processor and internal jumper. While both series are PLC compatible, the 103 is designed such that all signal operation is controlled directly through a PLC's ladder logic rather than through the Chameleon's internal processor. Either Series Chameleon may be panel or conduit mounted. An integral double-threaded (internal/external) mounting nipple accommodates 3/4" (19mm) or 1/2" (13mm) conduit mounting. Suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. When mounted outdoors lens should be mounted facing up. May be panel mounted using the provided locknut or conduit mounted. It is designed such that any or all three lights can be activated by a PLC or contact closure. The first light activated will illuminate either steady or flashing (set by an internal jumper). If a second light is activated, the Chameleon cycles between the two colors. A third activation causes the Chameleon to cycle between all three colors: red, amber, and green or red, amber, and blue. One additional lens module and light source strobe, halogen, incandescent or LED can be added for a fourth signal. The 108-DN Series Multi-Status Indicator utilizes the same DeviceNet interface as the 102 Series Triliptical Stacklight. It has been tested by ODVA's authorized independent test lab and complies with ODVA conformance test and software. The 108I Series features a multi-tone base module that allows the installer to select one of the following eight available tone options: stutter beep, continuous, 3 pulse horn, rapid siren, hi/lo, fast whoop, yeow and beep. The selected tone can be operated as an additional signal or used in conjunction with any of the visual signals. The signal is rated at 85 db at 5 feet (1.63m). The 108-DN features the same eight tones but allows all to be activated over the DeviceNet network. The 108 is also available without tone capability in direct surface and 2 inch (51mm) pipe mount bases. 3/4" (19mm) NPT conduit pipe mounting or surface mounting in non-hazardous dust and weatherproof applications. For indoor applications, may be vertically mounted with lenses facing up or down.
