9 Test / Experimental Setup 9 Universal Laser Cutting Machine Trolley Thrust & Wear indicating Alarm Unit End User : TARAPUR, R&D centre The Universal Laser Cutting Machine is PC controlled and remotely operated machine which moves in various geometric configurations (Horizontal, Linear and Rotary) with the Laser Head & hence assist in cutting various shape & size of feeder Pipes in Reactor Building where radiation level is very high and access for Manual cutting is limited. This instrument is used to indicate the thrust & Wear pressure of the turbine. It also indicates P and the alarm is given on the same. The pressure tapings from the turbines directly connected to thrust pressure transmitters. The output indicates the individual pressure as well as the differential pressure. Potential relay output is also available from the instruments.

12 Projects 12 Heavy Water Distillation Column Instrumentation Up gradation D2O up gradation PLC Panels D2O leak monitoring system for pumps consists of Level Transmitter with switch, Leak Rate Indicator Tantalizer & Pump RPM indicator. The level in the tank is measured using a Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter with in built switch. The output of the level transmitter is given to Leak Rate indicator. End user: NAPP The leak rate Indicator Totalizer indicates the leak rate by measuring the change in level in the tank per unit time (as defined by the user).

41 Customized Instruments 41 Off Delay Timer Reverse Rotation Indicator The timer output bit turns OFF when the setup time has passed after the timer input bit had turned OFF. As long as the 'Control Contact' remains OPEN, the relay remains 'DE-EN' state and as soon as the control contact CLOSES, relay will energize immediately. If control contact gets OPEN from CLOSE state, the timer starts functioning and after delay, it will be DE-EN. The reverse rotation & speed indicator is used to indicate angular speed of boiler feed water pump in revolutions per min. (RPM) along-with direction of rotation. The system contains two sensing probes & indicating control unit. The angular speed is sensed using proximity sensors either PNP or NPN type.
