10 Tests and certificates To ensure the security of our doors we are constantly running tests at the famous IFT Rosenhiem testing laboratory in Germany. We never accept that things are good enough. We re always looking for ways to improve the security of our doors, based on our years of experience, know-how and through ongoing scientific experiments. We test for the security, heat transfer coefficiency and sound isolation of our products. We also test our doors to ensure that they remain unchanged over long periods of use by simulating the door usage you will give it at home only we re much harsher on them then you will ever be. We punish our doors by opening and shutting them over 200,000 times, just to to ensure that they still have the same level of security they had the first time they were opened. We also test for durability, wind, water and fire resistance and the ability to withstand impact. These series of tests continue to prove the level of excellence that is built into every one of our doors and the security, reliability and seamless operation of every product we sell. Certification of Burglar resistance. Burglar resistance tests were carried out in the IFT ROSENHEIM testing laboratory in Germany. Burglar resistance class 4 doors protect your property from experienced burglars using saws and electric drilling tools. Certification of Bullet resistance. We have a range of bullet resistant doors for customers with special security needs. All ballistic tests were carried out to the strictest German standards. Burglar resistance class 3 protects against burglaries using heavy duty tools. Burglar resistance class 2 can withstand against occasional burglars using simple tools

In the pursuit of increased door safety, we developed and patented (2002) a door protection unit that enables safe opening of the door whilst protecting against undesirable intrusion. There are many door protection units in the world enabling safe and secure entrance. One of the most popular is the door chain with one end fastened to the door panel and another to the casing. But these chain type door protection units or latches are visible and easily accessible from the outside. When the door is slightly open, there may be attempts of cutting such a chain, or otherwise overcoming such an obvious protection. In addition, the arrangements of these similar structures are detrimental to the appearance of the door. Taking into consideration these defects, we developed a more advanced device for protection. Our door protection unit is installed in the internal cavity of the door panel, therefore it is invisible. The door panel is connected with the casing not by a chain but with metal bars sliding into respective openings in the bottom and top of the casing. It significantly increases the door resistance against external forces, and in cases where there are attempts of forced door opening. The tests of breaking the door protection unit carried out in the laboratory of building structures and materials demonstrated that the deformation of metal bars only begins when the continuous load at the locks exceeds 530 kg

14 PATENTED Impregnable Security Premium. Burglary resistance class 4 (WK4) by ENV 1627 The armoured lock is protected by 2 drilling resistant manganese plates. The bodies of the main and additional locks are installed in protective steel boxes. Higher security hinges have height adjustment mechanisms. On the hinge side, there are eight 16mm diameter locking points. On the lock side, there are six locking points and 2 additional points directed upwards and downwards. A separate protective sleeve secures each lock pin in the door frame. The door leaf is of a combined structure: grating, steel sheet and grating again, so even if the outside grating was damaged, the door is still protected by the steel plate and inside grating. Double thermal insulation: a 3 cm layer of rock wool on both sides of the steel sheet. It provides excellent noise and thermal insulation for the door. The entire ultra strong structure of the door is covered by finishing board whose colour and design can The lock pins are protected against damage not by steel sheet, but by a 15 mm thick bent profile. The frame is fixed in the opening by 17 pins, protected by steel liners of 24 mm. Designed for maximum security The Impregnable Security Premium is the ultimate in burglar resistant doors. Its unique and patented construction was created using Shield s knowledge of all methods of burglary and all possible ways of forced entry. The test from the acclaimed IFT laboratory in Rosenheim, Germany resulted in the testers trying to break this door continuously for 77 minutes using various crowbars, hammers, cutting and drilling tools but were not able to break in this door is impenetrable. After these tests, the Impregnable Security Premium door was awarded the 4th security class (WK4 according to ENV 1627 standard). At least one of the locks installed in this door model must be no lower than 7th security class. Impregnable Security Premium has excellent sound insulation (45 db) and protects against fire for up to 45 minutes (EI45). The new Impregnable Security Premium FB is a bullet-proof version of the door, which was tested in Germany, Beschussamtes Ulm laboratory according to the standard EN1522. This was awarded a level of bullet resistance of FB4 (resistant to 9 mm handgun shots). The door can be single, double, and with a bullet-proof glass. Impregnable Security Premium is suitable both for an apartment and private house (using the materials suitable for the outdoor conditions). The Impregnable Security Standard 3 was designed by applying Shield s knowledge of burglary methods and techniques. Tested by the IFT Rosenheim laboratory in Germany for burglar resistance, the Impregnable Security Standard 3 was awarded security class 3 (WK3) according to ENV 1627 standard. The locks installed in this door model must be no lower than security class 5 to maintain this security rating. This door has excellent sound and thermal insulation and is suitable both for apartments and private houses (using materials suitable for the outdoor conditions). 17 Standard milling Mill type 10F Mill type VF The Impregnable Security finish of security and fire resistant door can be of natural wood, natural veneer, various plywood or laminatec. However, most often we use medium density fibreboard (MDF) board laminated by PVC film or a painted Umidax-HLS board. For internal doors MDF is vacuumed by water resistant film, which does not discolour and ensures durability of the product. This has hard surface and is therefore especially resistant to mechanical impact. Rounded door finish edges provide even more strength and is easy to take care of. We have a wide assortment of PVC film imitating various wood. Mill type DF Mill type Georgia Mill type MF Outside entrance doors must meet a lot of high requirements. They have to be resistant to wind, have good thermal transmittance, high sound insulation and be waterproof and airproof. Moreover, the door must be good looking, not only while they are new, but also after many years. That s why we use selected certified, especially durable, waterproof Belgian wood fibreboard UMIDAX-HLS for the finish of our entrance doors. 22 Avoid household attack. Panic or safe rooms are there to provide an ultra-safe location inside your home, where you, or your family can retreat during a robbery or other threat. Think of a panic room as a vault for your most valuable asset, your family. Usually the door is made from a double-core metal with a heavy deadbolt installed. Although it s possible to use a different style lock, it is probably best to use a deadbolt so that the need for a key has been eliminated. If you need to use you panic room, then you will also need to contact emergency services such as the police. So a means of communication with the outside world is imperative and a video monitor that shows all activity outside the door and in the house is a worthwhile investment. Although it s sometimes called a panic room', remember that the purpose of the room is not for you to panic, but for you to be safe

23 About our panic rooms l We prefer to construct our walls from floor to ceiling for structural continuity. l We use Steel studs for our walls, and brace them with reinforcing ties, then cover them with bullet resistant material such as Kevlar. l We cover the bullet resistant material with sheetrock, tile or other decorative finishes. l We overlap resistant sheet where necessary to ensure your security room does not have any weak points. l We incorporate all necessary structural elements such as wiring, plumbing and ventilation (evaluating the potential threat of poisonous gasses being sent into the room through the duct system) and build according to the threat. l Our floors are concrete whenever possible. We also reinforce the floor to account for the added weight of structural elements of the security room. l Doors are one of the most critical aspects of a security room design. Our doors are bulletresistant with internal steel framing. We also use hardware that can provide substantial, secure locking. l We use sound insulation in the construction of our security rooms. This means that the attacker can not be heard nor can they hear you. l We incorporate only the best surveillance and computer equipment into our panic rooms
