2 NANOSI Substantiation of application and description of NanoSi product Silicon is the element of life. Not a single organism can exist without silicon; it emerges in the universe as an element possessing exceptional value. V.I. Vernadsky Modern trends in agriculture (growing prices of mineral fertilizers, the need to restore soil fertility, search for alternatives to toxic chemicals) have led to the emergence of a new type of fertilizer, the active ingredient of which is active silicon. Silicon fertilizer are used in Japan, South Korea, China, India, Colombia, Mexico, the USA, Australia, and Brazil. Since 1955 in Japan silicon fertilizers have been officially registered as mineral fertilizers and are considered as a major factor of the intensification of rice cultivation technology. International conferences in the USA, Japan, and a significant increase in the volume of publications on the subject demonstrate an increased interest in silicon fertilizers in the last decade.
3 World experience shows that silicon fertilizers are an innovative factor in the intensification of modern agriculture, which is essential to maintain high-yield, stress-resistant and environmentally friendly crop production. In Russia, silicon fertilizers remain largely unknown, and their role in agriculture intensification of is known only to a narrow circle of specialists. Silicon is necessary to increase the consumption of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. It stimulates the growth processes, accelerates the formation and ripening phase, which is associated with an increase in energy for metabolic processes and synthesis of sugars. Its accumulation in the conductive vessels causes an increase in the mechanical strength of tissues. Silicon is essential for normal growth and development of surface organs and root system of plants. Optimization of plant nutrition with silicon results in an increased photosynthetic activity. Silicon, together with phosphorus, is the basis of high-energy compounds, which results in a greater efficiency of bioenergy of siliciphilous plants. Silicon impact on the mechanical strength of tissues, which prevents lodging of plants, is added to molecular effects.
4 Silicon increases plants resistance to any stress and has no toxic influence. The main function of silicon in plants is to increase the organism resistance to adverse conditions, reflected in the thickening of the epidermal tissues (mechanical protection), growth acceleration and development of the root system (physiological protection), the binding of toxic compounds (chemical protection) and increase in biochemical resistance to stress (biochemical protection), reducing the effect of high temperatures (thermal protection). Influence of silicon on the reduction of blast incidence This element promotes the resistance of plants (especially rice) to physiological diseases encountered at the combined action of pesticides, hydrogen sulfide, and anaerobic conditions and agents causing fungal and bacterial diseases. NanoSi is the only product in the world based on biologically active free silicon without any chemical compounds. The particle size is from micron to 4 microns.

Silicon-based formulation makes it unique among antidotes, fertilizers and plant growth regulators; Environmental and genetic safety; Complex bracing and balanced regulatory action on life processes of plants; No additional power consumption due to the compatibility with chemical means of plant protection and fertilizing; Manufacturability; Increases resistance to extreme weather conditions Relieves stress after treatments with pesticides Increases the germinating ability and sprouting energy of seeds Increases the absorption of nutrients Contributes to the formation of a strong root system Strengthens the protective functions of plants Increases the efficiency of fertilizers and fungicides Activates the growth processes, rooting and fruit formation Improves quality and increases the marketability of the product Reduces accumulation of nitrates and heavy metals
6 The importance of silicon, for example for rice, can be indirectly measured by its percentage content in the plant. Its content in rice and husk goes up to 20% of dry weight. Rice is a unique accumulator of silicon - the content of silica (SiO2) in the culm and leaves of rice in the full maturity normally is 10-20% of the dry matter. If the content of silica is less than 11% of the dry matter the in rice culm, the rice has a silicon deficiency. With sufficiency of silicon, rice yields at least 10 kg of silicon per grain hundredweight. Therefore, at intensive culture the element yield from soil can reach 1000 kg/ha. Rice consumes 5 times more silicon than nitrogen and much more than other mineral nutrients. Application of silicon fertilizers leads to a significant increase in rice yield. This is due to several factors: 1. Silicon improves the parameters of panicle productivity. With the optimum silicon nutrition, the number of spikelets per panicle and weight of 1000 grains increases, blind-seed disease decreases. 2. The yield of rice increases due to an increase in rice resistance to lodging. 3. Silicon increases the resistance to diseases and pests. A compound complex, which silicon forms with components of cell walls, is resistant to microbial attack. It prevents the penetration of blast hyphae and other fungi inside the cells. Silicon also increases the redox potential of the cell sap of rice, which hinders the development of the fungus. The silica of the cell walls and silicified cells determines rice resistance to Helminthosporium disease, leaf spot, Cercospora blight, stem rot. 7 Results of NanoSi product application To determine the effectiveness of the new NanoSi product, which has no analogues in the Russian and global markets, rice is treated in two ways. Part of the rice has been treated before planting. Yields were as follows: 93 hundreds kilograms per hectare. Compared to 65 hundreds kilograms per hectare (control) Also, NanoSi was sprayed from airplane. Almost the entire area has been treated once, the other part of the area has been treated twice. Where the product was applied once, the yield was 88 hundreds kilograms per hectare, and where the product was applied twice, the yield was 90 hundreds kilograms per hectare.
8 To determine the quantitative results of the application of NanoSi product, experts of our company, in the presence of the company agronomists, examined nine different rice bays located in different places. Rice was cut by hand from 1x1 m plots. Each spike was calculated, measured in length and weight. 9 Our experts have good grounds to believe that the combination of rice seed treatment before planting and subsequent treatment from an airplane twice at the right time will yield up to hundreds kilograms per hectare in the next year. According to the results of the complete reaping, the average yield in the company was 64 hundreds kilograms per hectare in In 2014 the company used the same product for the treatment of rice as in This gives a reason to believe that the main increase in yielding capacity was achieved due to the use of the NanoSi product. After treatment the average weight of harvested rice in 2014 in the company was 83.1 hundreds kilograms per hectare, i.e. additional 19 hundreds kilograms per hectare. According to official media reports for the Krasnodar Territory in 2014, rice yield was 71.3 hundreds kilograms per hectare.
