Amaryllis are surely the most spectacular of all flowering bulbs! They are one of those superb (and easy to grow) plants that you have to be in awe over. Those huge blossoms poking up never fail to win gardener s hearts. The bud begins unfurling along the way, erupting once it reaches its peak and then producing magnificent flowers. You will get 2-3 flower spikes with 3-4 blooms on each, giving a long flowering time. The greater the circumference of the bulbs the more food is stored resulting in a fuller plant with more flowers. Pods of silvery bracts open into a cloud of double fringed, lavender- blue flowers with purple centres held on wiry stems above silvery, woolly-textured foliage. Oriental Poppy rupifragum - Flora Pleno Sometimes called Orange Feathers this perennial poppy comes from the mountains of Spain and all through the summer produces semidouble flowers with tissue thin petals in tangerine orange.
