1 Welcome to Skillin s Skillins Greenhouses, a true Maine tradition, is a fourth generation Maine family business. Founded in 1885 by Alexander Pa Skillin, Skillins originally provided seedlings and produce to the local area. The growth of Skillins over the years mirrored the growth of Falmouth Maine and its surrounding environs. After World War II, as Falmouth changed from fields and pastures into a town of fine homes, we expanded into a landscaping and greenhouse and floral business. The purchase of a second store, in Brunswick expanded the business to mid-coastal Maine. Today, the Skillin family produces many of their seasonal crops, from mums to poinsettias. And at beautiful Mountainview Farm, Christmas trees, shrubs, and evergreens ensure the future of this Maine tradition.
