1 LIGHT WATER FUN FACTS Aeonium Aeonium arboreum With bright green rosettes of leaves, this succulent is sculptural and tough. A winter grower, the houseleek is happiest with regular watering in winter and being forgotten in summer. Purple leaved cultivars are widely available ,2,3 1,2 3 Take note, over-waterers! The houseleek does NOT like too much liquid, particularly when it's sleeping in summer. Take it easy on the H2O. Aloe Aloe spp. & cvs. Aloe hybrid 'Super Red' Producing bright red flowers in late Summer to Winter this tall growing Aloe is a sculptural addition to any garden. It is moderately frost tolerant, doesn't like much water and loves well-drained soil ,2 1 2 Aloe Vera Aloe vera This plant is world-renowned for the purported healing qualities of the gel found in its fleshy leaves. Aspidistra elatior A true survivor! Tolerates dark, shady spots with minimal water. Agave attenuata A clumping succulent plant with soft grey/green leaves. Tolerates tough love! Geranium Pelargonium spp. & cvs. Pelargonium 'Big Red' A great pot plant for sunny spots, Geraniums are a colourful and easy care plant for beginner gardeners. This red flowering hybrid loves plenty of sun, well-drained soil and good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases ,2 3 Grass Tree Xanthorrhoea spp. & cvs. An iconic Australian plant, the Grass Tree is a bold focal point in any garden. Adiantum aethiopicum One of the divas of the plant world, Ms Maidenhair is happiest growing wild along stream banks in rainforests. It's a great addition to a sensory garden and is low maintenance once established. Parsley Petroselinum crispum Parsley is a great plant to kick off your food gardening adventures. It grows easily from seed or seedlings, tolerates mild neglect, and if you let it self-seed it'll keep popping up in your garden year after year. An excellent indoor foliage plant, it tolerates dark spots and mild neglect. This grey/green leaved shrub is a great addition to any garden space - as a hedge, pot plant or mass planting. Star Fish Flower Stapelia grandiflora This unusual plant has hairy four angled stems with toothed margins. It produces spectacular (yet very stinky) flowers that smell like rotting meat!
