INSECTICIDES Clutch 50 WDG POST-BLOOM INSECT CONTROL Clutch 50 WDG insecticide is a third generation neonicotinoid that provides top-rated control of tough pests in grapes. A foliar application offers fast acting, long lasting, broad-spectrum insect control. ACTIVE INGREDIENT clothianidin 50% (Group 4A insecticide) BENEFITS OF CLUTCH Controls many problematic insects including leafhoppers, thrips, mealy bug and grape phylloxera Registered for the suppression of brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) Prevents insect pests from feeding, sucking and ovipositting (egg laying) Low water solubility makes Clutch less prone to leaching and provides longer residual control Reliable action quickly reaches pests where they feed for maximum foliage and fruit protection APPLICATION GUIDELINES Only apply Clutch post-bloom when pollination is complete and bees are removed from the production site. Depending on pest pressure and rate used, Clutch can provide 14 days residual control. Apply a maximum of two applications per season with a maximum application rate of 210 g/ha. Foliar application should be ground applied in enough water to ensure thorough coverage. Water volume of 1,000 L/ha or 100 gal./ac. usually provides good foliage coverage. Water ph within 5.5 and 8.5 is recommended. Re-entry interval: 12 hours Pre-harvest interval: 1 day Rainfast: avoid application when heavy rain is forecast 8

INSECTICIDES DiPel 2X DF LEPIDOPTERA CONTROL IN A BIOLOGICAL INSECTICIDE DiPel 2X DF is the number one biological insecticide in the world and can be applied in conventional and organic systems. This potent Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) insecticide provides proven control of Lepidoptera pests and is an effective resistance management tool. DiPel s superior, high potency, dry flowable formulation ensures the longest shelf life of any other Bt on the market. OMRI LISTED DiPel is OMRI-certified for use in organic production, providing organic growers with a proven and highly effective natural tool to fight insect pests. ACTIVE INGREDIENT Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki (Group 11 insecticide) BENEFITS OF DIPEL Most potent Bt insecticide on the market with excellent efficacy and environmentally friendly profile Immediately deters worms from feeding, protecting the crop from damage death occurs within 1-3 days Dry flowable formulation is convenient and easy to handle Unique mode of action is an excellent tool for managing resistance of many pests Tank mixable to improve the performance of traditional insecticides or used in rotation with a traditional insecticide program, ideal in an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program Not harmful to bees or beneficial insects excellent tool for control of spring feeding caterpillars No re-entry interval restrictions Exempt from maximum residue limits in Canada can be applied up to harvest Exempt from Tolerance giving growers full confidence when selling crops to foreign markets 10
GRAPES APPLICATION GUIDELINES Apply when insect pests are small (early instars) before crop damage occurs. Pests will stop feeding immediately and die within 1-3 days. Repeat at an interval sufficient to maintain control, usually 3-14 days, depending on plant growth rate, population density and rainfall after treating. Good coverage is essential to ensure the crop is well protected. Apply in sufficient water volume to cover all foliage and fruit surfaces. Re-entry interval: immediate Pre-harvest interval: may be applied up to day of harvest Spray interval: 3-14 days APPLICATION RATES CROP APPLICATION RATE APPLICATION TIMING Grapes 1,125 g/ha (455 g/ac.) Best application timing is at egg hatch of the target pests, from petal fall through to green fruit stage 11
HERBICIDES Aim EC POST-EMERGENT CONTROL OF BROADLEAF WEEDS Aim EC herbicide provides broad-spectrum control of a wide range of broadleaf weeds in grape vineyards. ACTIVE INGREDIENT carfentrazone-ethyl 240 g/l (Group 14 herbicide) BENEFITS OF AIM Excellent broadleaf weed control of nightshade species Easy and safe-to-use herbicide with non-restricted use No carryover concerns Resistance management tool Group 14 product with unique mode of action to combat glyphosate-resistant weeds WEEDS CONTROLLED Bindweed Chickweed Lamb s-quarters (including Group 2 and triazine-resistant strains) Nightshade Pigweed (including Group 2 and Group 5 resistant) Ragweed Many other broadleaf annuals, winter annuals and perennials 12
GRAPES APPLICATION GUIDELINES For sucker control: Apply to young suckers that have not reached maturity and hardened off. Apply to suckers from the base of vines or tree trunks or root sprouts. Do not allow spray to contact fruit, foliage or green bark. Re-entry interval: 12 hours Pre-harvest interval: 3 days (weed control), 30 days (sucker control) Rainfast: 6-8 hours Maximum applications per year: 2 APPLICATION RATES CROP APPLICATION RATE COMMENTS Grapes 150 ml/ha (61 ml/ac.) Apply with an adjuvant such as Agral 90 or Ag-Surf at 0.25% v/v (0.25 L/100 L of spray solution) OR use Merge at 1% v/v (1 L/100 L of spray solution) 13
HERBICIDES Chateau WDG LONG-LASTING, PRE-EMERGENT CONTROL OF BROADLEAF AND GRASS WEEDS Chateau WDG herbicide works as a barrier on the soil surface to provide season-long, residual control of tough broadleaf and grass weeds in vineyards. Target weeds include: pigweed, lamb s-quarters, common ragweed, dandelion, Eastern black nightshade, hairy nightshade and green foxtail. Chateau is a PPO inhibitor and works differently than many other commonly used herbicides, helping to fight resistance. ACTIVE INGREDIENT flumioxazin 51.1% (Group 14 herbicide) BENEFITS OF CHATEAU A new advantage in the fight against a broad spectrum of hard-to-control weeds Residual activity stops weeds with long-lasting, pre-emergent action Keeps weeds from germinating for months (depending on the rate) and is moisture activated Chateau stays where it s sprayed and will not leach or volatize Offers flexible application timing Group 14 herbicide to help manage weed resistance Flumioxazin is active in very small amounts and provides residual weed control as long as the herbicide barrier is not disturbed 14
GRAPES WEEDS CONTROLLED Canada fleabane Common ragweed Dandelion Eastern black nightshade Green foxtail Green pigweed Hairy nightshade Kochia Lamb s-quarters Redroot pigweed APPLICATION GUIDELINES Do not apply to grapes established less than two years. Do not apply within 100 metres of non-dormant pears. Re-entry interval: 12 hours Pre-harvest interval: 60 days Rainfast: needs activating rain or irrigation after application Maximum applications per season: 2 APPLICATION RATES CROP APPLICATION RATE APPLICATION TIMING Grapes g/ha ( g/ac.) depending on soil type Apply prior to budbreak in the spring After harvest in the fall 15
FUNGICIDES Presidio DOWNY MILDEW CONTROL Presidio fungicide is formulated with an innovative new class of Group 43 chemistry. Its unique mode of action makes Presidio a powerful tool against downy mildew and a new option for resistance management. With systemic and translaminar action, Presidio works on contact and efficiently moves through plants. ACTIVE INGREDIENT fluopicolide 39.5% (Group 43 fungicide) BENEFITS OF PRESIDIO Preventive and some curative reach-back action Moves through plants with systemic and translaminar action New chemistry to help fight resistance Wide application window Exceptional tank-mix flexibility Minimal restricted entry and pre-harvest intervals Low-rate use pattern No cross resistance to commercial fungicides 16
GRAPES APPLICATION GUIDELINES Apply Presidio when conditions favour disease development and prior to infection. Use Presidio in a planned fungicide prevention program, rotating with other fungicides for sound resistance management. Presidio must be applied with a tank-mix partner to ensure an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach to disease control. Sequential applications of Presidio before alternating with another effective fungicide from a different group are allowed but not necessarily a recommended best management practice. Be sure water volume is sufficient for proper crop coverage. A minimum of 200 L/ha (81 L/ac.) for ground application. Re-entry interval: 12 hours/8 days depending on activity (refer to label) Pre-harvest interval: 21 days Rainfast: 2 hours Maximum applications per season: 3-4, depending on rate used APPLICATION RATES CROP APPLICATION RATE APPLICATION TIMING Grapes ml/ha ( ml/ac.) Apply 7-14 days apart, depending on disease pressure Use the higher rate if rain is expected and under severe disease pressure 17
