1 Project description : Alliance One International is a leading independent leaf tobacco merchant serving the world's largest cigarette manufacturers. The company has lots of offices, factories and suppliers all around the world. One of the operational and production side is in Turkey. This new building of the company is located in an industrial area in İzmir Turkey. İt is completed in 2014 and constructed in 10 months. The purpose to build a new Office is to combine all the departmens all together near by the production. According to this purpose, we combine an innovative and modern design. The architect create an organic Shell as an exterior and we design more sharp lines on interior. We design and create warm and comfortable spaces for work. Also there are some common spaces for visitors and for the staff. The main aim is to create spaces which employees will feel happy and work in joy. We design the structure to get the natural light from the facade and also from the domes just up of the stairs. By the help of them we can provide the day light to all floors till the basement. The overall finishes are mostly natural materials like marble, concrete, hardwood, glass, steel..etc. because in our opinion todays contemporary architecture is too related with environment. We try to reflect this on the finish materials and textures. The main entrance is on the middle of the building. The center of the building is the heart of it. We have concealed the privacy of the offices by the help of a concrete look wall just behind the reception desk. There is a large waiting area in front of it. Just behind the Wall there are two long coridors like wings of the building. On the one side there are the open offices and some director Office. On the other side there are 2 visitors offices, one director Office, a medium size meeting Office for 16 peopel and the canteen area. We also have a larger meeting room for 22 people on the 1st floor and a conference room for 50 to 60 people on the basement floor. On the 1st floor we have mostly the private offices like directors, IT and accounting. We have kitchenette on each floor to serve the guest and employees. The offices are all seperated with glass to provide a semi-open Office order and if necessary every Office has its own door for privacy and concentrated work ambiance. By the help of glass seperation we can also control the natural light according to need. Our main design concept is to provide a comfortable work areas for employees, and cozy areas for visitors. We characterized the offices by 3 different color of carpet tiles. Offices, directors and common areas. We also highlight it in the colors of the seats. We create a more colorfull chart in the common areas. Every space has its own unique design character in details. All the artworks, paintings and accessorys were selected and placed attentively. At the begining needs were unlimited. We try to manage the best we can to fulfill the task. At the end we designed and build them an Office which made them feel professional, organised, comfortable and cozy. We experienced the process together and we reach our goal with mutual gratification.

Davut TAMBAHAR ( owner ) He was graduated from Bilkent University in he started the DT Mimarlık in 2008 as a cofounder and still Works at the same Office as a interior architect. He is also experienced on designing and delivering to budget and timing to projects.
