3 Wood. This wonderful material that we at Stolab love more than anything else. We have manufactured solid wood furniture since This is a long time, but we still feel the same desire to develop and create new designs. One can never tire of a material that is alive. Stolab 2012 is a combination of what s new and classical in an extremely proud mix. The following pages display our latest designs. Welcome. 3

5 Miss Holly table. We can now present a table for last year s much appreciated new product the Miss Holly chair. The table is designed by Jonas Lindvall and is made of solid wood. The top is robust, but the table nevertheless gives a sleek appearance thanks to carefully machined edges and legs. Simplicity meets a strong material feeling. It is so beautiful. 7 This is old news. We sometimes are asked about what our environmental work involves. To us environmental work is not an isolated instance or something new. It permeates everything we do. It s about respect. If we take, we also want to give back. The natural way. We have always manufactured our furniture in Smålandsstenar, close to our customers. Our mission is to create timeless, durable furniture that can be handed down to future generations. It is a given for us to try to fi nd the best material from Swedish suppliers, to get the most out of the best. Like the use of our own sawdust waste as a source of energy. The natural way. This is the way it has always been done in Småland. 7

9 Oxford sofa group. Starting out as a single sofa unit, Oxford has now developed into a complete group. The same elastic profi le as seen in the comfortable lounge easy chair has been transferred to the neat and easy-to-place sofa and the new easy chair by Mattias Ljunggren. 11 Lilla Åland made of solid oiled walnut. Numbered series of 1,000 copies. In 2012, it will be 70 years since Carl Malmsten designed the wooden chair that we have come to love Lilla Åland. We at Stolab have been entrusted with the manufacture and supply of Lilla Åland in solid birch for both home and public interiors, in Sweden and abroad. In 2012, we want to draw extra attention to this classic piece of furniture through a different and unique endeavour a Lilla Åland in solid oiled walnut. 12 Miniature Lilla Åland 12

13 A tiny new product. The miniature Lilla Åland comes in 1,000 numbered copies, developed by us at Stolab in Carl Malmsten s honour. The miniature is a copy of CM s original Lilla Åland chair, which will turn 70 in The miniature Lilla Åland is available in a natural, white or black fi nish and comes in a beautiful wooden box with a tiny booklet. The chairs are numbered under the seat. Height 14 cm. 13

15 Annie is a new table designed by Marit Stigsdotter. A dynamic table with a proven functional and reliable design. The leg base is gently shaped to be kind to your feet and rises off the fl oor in a smooth arch. The tapering, open leg base provides a light and airy, yet stable impression. Corners and edges are rounded to provide a welcoming feeling when approaching the table. It must feel nice to sit next to Annie! TABLE. DESIGN: MARIT STIGSDOTTER. MADE OF SOLID BIRCH.
