2 Learning Space Habitat Regeneration Strategies Description and objectives Many towns have wasted, unused or under-used land, brownfields. Urban regeneration strategies give them the opportunity for redeveloping such areas and for creating much better live environment. Regeneration represents such multisectoral interventions to city brownields, which can results in the environmental, social and economic improvements of the area. The OIKONET Workspace Habitat Regeneration Strategies is aimed at supporting a wide range of learning activities in examining actual European and world experiences in regeneration of cities, with a particular interest in the issues of liveability, housing and resilience. The objective of this learning space is to explore in a theoretical and practical way the complex issue of habitat regeneration. Realized learning activities were aimed at analysing particular cases of habitat, identifying problems and needs for regeneration, exploring the examples of urban regeneration strategies, identifying or creating wider regeneration visions and proposing set of related actions from the specific disciplinary viewpoint (urban planing, architecture, urban geography...). Participating partners: University of Belgrade, FASTU Bratislava, VSUACE Volgograd, IUG Grenoble, La Salle, Barcelona (and actualy others). Duration: from September 2014.

5 Collaborative Learning Activities (within HRS Workspaces) 09/ /2015 FASTU Bratislava The objectives for implementation Collaborative Learning Activities in HRS: Integration to international and multidisciplinar OIKONET Learning activities (agreed collaboration with AF Belgrade, IUG Grenoble, VSUACE Volgograd) Collaboration with Bratislava city municipality (OIKONETpartner 24) on the topic, specification of the assignment (case study Bratislava Petržalka), participation activities Integration to regular learning activities at FASTU (Specialized CAD Design Studio, 4 th Bachelor, 0/2, obligatory, ca 90 students, 3 teachers), availability of adequate digital details; most of the teaching was in english.

We read your document and we found it's extremely interesting. At the same time, We have a question for you: do you think it is important to have the system of Bratislava's tramway on the map of connectivity analysis. (because we are the group who study influence of transport structure's influence on form of city.) Do you consider it as a factor important in the structure of the city? Hi, I think, the tramway is in our city very important. It is very good to have different options for transport - I can see it everyday how tram is important, when mornings are traffic jams in the streets and it is impossible to be in time by bus or car. In our city are the tram also used in the pedestrian zone for transport. I hope, I answered a bit your question, but I am not sure, if I understood it right.br. Miriam

10 Learning Space Habitat Regeneration Strategies Perspectives Topic, which can join all three subnetworks for collaboration WP2 WP3 WP4 Continuation, utilization of realized LAs and resources (VSUACE Volgograd master students, urban design studio Elina Krasilnikova, FASTU Bratislava -Viera Joklova; Summer school; Integration of other partners) Publication activities - conferences, journals Remarks: Bratislava City is starting the community participation action (first of that kind) on the habitat regeneration of large scale residential district in Bratislava Petržalka. AF Belgrade with its learning activities in regeneration the flood disastered areas in Serbia cooperated as well very intesively with local authorities. We can therefore use these factors to support the three-ways knowledge sharing between Research Pedagogy- Community participation contiguous activities. Post socialists municipalities (such as Bratislava) have not many experiences with community participation, the methods of its application, tools and evaluation. In the case of HRS in Bratislava Petržalka, researchers could find, what does community participation need from research and how could they help the process. Researchers could help to increase the knowledge base of Resources by their contributions related to urban regeneration and public participation. Researchers can collaborate on the tasks definition, so they can co-create the OIKONET learning-byresearch and research- by design processes; in the tasks (students) evalution and commentig.
