There were quite a number of candidates for the awards. The following award for the full papers, resulting from the blind, peer-review by the Digital Landscape Architecture Review Committee, Digital Landscape Architecture DLA 2010 Award for SCIENTIFIC EXCELLENCE was given to Prof. Dr. IAN BISHOP, University of Melbourne, Australia for his contribution: Scenario based evaluation of landscape futures: tools for development, communication and assessment (Highest possible score of 6.0). 3 DIGITAL LANDCAPE ARCHITECTURE We are pleased to announce the following Digital Landscape Architecture DLA 2010 Poster Awards Prior to the conference we received posters in the three following categories Application of New Media in Landscape Architecture: GIS Application in Landscape Architecture: Presentation of Design in Landscape Architecture: 15 posters 10 posters 25 posters The posters were submitted from following countries: One poster entry was received from each of the following countries: Hungary, Latvia, Egypt, Canada, Taiwan, Costa Rica, Argentina and Switzerland Two poster entries from United Kingdom Three poster entries from the United States 16 poster entries were submitted from Germany which was even topped by 18 poster submissions from Turkey. Forty of these submissions came from students, while seven posters had been submitted from professional offices or research units. The professional poster entries were evaluated in a separate category. Prior to the conference, the following twenty members of the poster jury, each with a relevant background, evaluated the posters online: Members of the Anhalt Chapter of the Professional Landscape Architecture Society BDLA: Matthias Därr, Ulrike Schmeil, Wolfgang Aldag, Erich Buhmann Faculty and Research Assistants of Anhalt University: Einar Kretzler, Matthias Pietsch, Rene Krug, Daniel Janko, Andreas Thon MLA Students, Anhalt University: Sarita Mahadik, Franziska Weeck, Andreas Paul Meissner, Christian Langer, Tamer Elshayal, Uta Henze, Marcella Garcia and External poster reviewers: Olaf Schroth, Anett Firnigl and Hellmut Schmidt-Bäumler Each poster received a minimum of three evaluations from reviewers with special expertise in the individual poster categories. The results of the jury s votes are documented together with the results by the participants, as nearly all entries were posted during the conference and voted on by means of a questionnaire.
