1 Table of Contents 1 Callisto 100 Shut-off Valve Set Installation Operating the Shut-off Valve Opening and Closing the Shut-off Valve Callisto 100 Shut-off Valve Set The optional shut-off valve set (mat. no ) is required to shut off the external cooling circuit when the Callisto 100 is switched off and not in use in order to prevent condensation or even ice formation in the inside of the device. NOTICE The shut-off valve set can be used to upgrade existing Callisto 100 devices. If you are upgrading an existing device, please follow all steps in this instruction. As of serial number , all Callisto 100 devices are prepared for the shut-off valve and some parts of the shut-off valve set are already installed by the manufacturer. If you are installing such a device, please unscrew the glass overflow and vacuum equalizing vessels to gain easier access and begin the installation of your Callisto 100 with step 5. 2 Installation To install the shut-off valve, follow these steps: 1.

Before continuing the installation, re-install the glass overflow and vacuum equalizing vessels and check whether the leaver of the shut-off valve can be moved freely without obstruction. 8. Before connecting the hoses for the cooling circuit, slide the insulating tube for the shut-off valve over the hoses. 9. Connect the cooling circuit hoses to the hose nipples and secure the connections with the hose clips. 5 10. Slide the insulating tube over the shut-off valve right up to the Callisto 100 housing. In order to avoid having to switch on devices you might not need for testing, you can also use the optional shut-off valve between the Callisto 100 and the external cooling device. Important When you switch off the Callisto 100 device, you must either also switch off the external cooling system or close the shut-off valve at the Callisto 100 to close the cooling liquid circuit to your device. When you switch the Callisto 100 device on again, you must also open the valve to the cooling system. 3.1 Opening and Closing the Shut-off Valve The shut-off valve is mounted at the back of the Callisto 100 device. Simply turn the leaver to open or close the connection to the cooling circuit.
