Awal Gulf India has started Air Handling Units manufacturing operations in India this year. Why Air Handling Units? The focus in our day and age is not only on our "ENvironment", but also on our "INvironment ; where the Indoor Air Quality" (IAQ) helps prioritize the air safety standard of our living and working condition indoors. IAQ refers to the nature of air within an inhabited, enclosed space. In many large, commercial, and conditioned spaces the occupants have virtually no control over their environment; the space could be filled with dust, tobacco smoke, chemical vapor, pesticide sprays, fine carbon dust from copying machines, etc and not even know about it. Due to the pollutants mentioned above, it has been observed that air in a conditioned area can be up to ten times more polluted than the air outside which may pose a great health risk due to its high level of concentration. Therefore, it is safe to conclude that the IAQ plays an important and major role in the health state of the conditioned spaces we work and live in. This is where the Double Skin Air Handling Units are introduced, comprising of the following components: fans, filters, dampers, and ducts (that deliver cool or hot air throughout a building), this product assists by permitting only the most hygienic type of air into your enclosed space thus improving the IAQ to help you, your family, and your work colleagues to live a better healthier life indoors. 5 Elite Features : Beyond The Frame: The main framework for the AGC unit series is undoubtedly the first piece of the puzzle. It is the skeletal body which holds the whole unit together housing within it the internal components. This skeletal frame is comprised of Extruded Aluminum Profile it is known for its anticorrosive quality and is the principal material found in the market today; with a promise to withstand the most excruciating weather and stand the test of time. Each of the aluminum frame sides are attached to each other by Reinforced ABS-plastic to help avoid condensation at the corners. Optional: Thermal Break Profiles for Outdoor Installations. The Sandwich Paneling: All panels are double skinned constructions which allow for easy inspection and maintenance thus helping to reduce the risk of dirt and bacteria accumulation as well as a low risk of erosion of internal insulation material that might contaminate the air stream. Each of the panels is made up of an inner and outer layer skin with a thickness range of 45mm or 25mm thick. The outer panels are 0.7 mm thick of prepainted sheet while the inner are 0.5 mm of zinc coated sheet. The insulation is comprised of fiber glass with a density of 40 kg/m 3 providing an overall k value of 0.68 w/m 2 k. The panels are also assembled with imported self-drilling & self tapping screws which are fixed to the frame and easily removable. Optional: Injected insulation of polyurethane foam of 40 kg/m 3 density.

6 The Base of the Frame: The base of the unit sections is made up of Sheet metal sections of 1.6 mm thk GI bolted together with GI bolts to help assure the complete stability of the product as well as permit easy lifting, handling, and positioning on site. Gaskets and sealing material are readily available with the sectional splits of each unit as well as connection clamps to adhere to quick and airtight site assembly. Fan-tastic: All units are equipped with one fan of the highest certification which is thereby driven by a single motor. The fan itself is of double inlet double width (DIDW) with a forward centrifugal curve attached to anti-vibration spring isolators that help isolate the fan wheels from the main structural body thus causing a static and dynamic balance that minimizes vibrations and reduces noise pollution. The fan, similar to the main frame is also made of galvanized steel material. The centrifugal fan has flexible connections between the fan discharge and casing to reduce vibration transmission. Optional: Backward curved or Aerofoil Fans, Belt Guard, Door Limit Switch. Ready, Steady, Motor and Drive: The motor and drive package for each unit are individually hand selected to meet the highest performance standard. The motor is of the TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) model, class F insulation with IP-55 motor protection. The fan motor assembly will be installed on a separate base frame supported and isolated from the main unit structure by rubber mounts. For each of the components, the fan and the motor are assigned fixed pulleys to help transfer the motion. Optional: Variable Pitch Pulleys for Motor and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).

7 Coils: Manufactured from state of the art technology, the water cooling coils are made up of: a) Seamless copper with End plates made of dieformed holes that provide a parallel surface to the coil tube for strong brazing joints. Standard 1/8" brass female pipe thread (FPT) vent and drain. b) Corrugated plate type fin that is die-formed. Fin collars are full-drawn to provide accurate control of fin spacing and maximum contact with tubes. c) Using 16-gauge minimum thickness material, 1" flanges are formed to permit easy stacking and mounting. All coil assemblies are leak tested under water at 315 PSIG air. Standard construction is suitable for up to 300 o F. Performance is certified under ARI Standard 410. Optional: Copper fins with Copper tubes or Copper tubes with Aluminum fins with a Herasite - Epoxy coating. Moisture Eliminator: At Awal Gulf we earnestly strive to offer our customers the best productivity as well as longevity of our merchandise. Therefore, when the Airhandling Unit is faced with a higher air velocity due to an increase in power (greater than 500 FPM or 2.5 m/s), a water carry over results and to help evade such detrimental results the moisture or Droplet Eliminator is recommended. The Polypropylene-bladed Droplet Eliminator are specially designed to meet any usable needs in the air treatment. The screwed extruded aluminum frame is extremely solid and gives sturdiness to the whole structure.

8 Drain Pan: The condensate drain pan is mandatory in helping discharge the excess moisture (condensation) that results from the cooling process. With drain end connections on the front and back of the unit, the drain pan is constructed of GI and powder coated for corrosion resistance. It is also a wider drain pan structure with a deviated slope in a V shape that assures quick and complete water drainage thus avoiding microbiological and mildew growth. Optional: A drain pan fabricated from stainless Steel of SS-304 grade. Air Control Devices: In the AGC Units, the control dampers are used for air control and to help minimize pressure loss along with noise level. These mixing box dampers have contra-rotating blades built of aerodynamic fins. These blades are driven by a polycarbonate gear mechanism and turn in opposed directions to provide a smoother operation. Filters: In the AGC units air filtration is of paramount importance as this system only ensures the best quality of IAQ. Therefore, choices of single and multi-stage Air Filters are available to suit different environmental conditions. Filters are placed in galvanized frames for easier side removal and effortless maintenance. Manometer Plug Ports are provided to fix Manometers and check for final filter pressure drops, which indicate the need for filter maintenance or replacement. All filters offered are of reputed make and follow ASHRAE and Euro-vent conventional standards. Optional: The Bag Filters, HEPA Filters.

9 Electric Heater: Another prominent option to the AGC units is the electric heater; manufactured from a u- shaped finned heater element built into a heavy galvanized steel frame and positioned in the unit in a process that permits easy removal. Respecting safety guidelines, the safety controls will use a high temperature cut out mechanism specifically designed for step control. The advantage of having a finned tubular electric heater in comparison to an open coiled one is better safety results, protection against foreign particles in the air, better durability, and a more even temperature as well as being easily replaced in case of any failure. Air flow switch is another standard feature which is provided for additional safety to cut-off power supply to the heater in the event of no air flow across two points by differential pressure. Accessories and Beyond: Hinges and Handles: There is a double access standard door provided for each section of the unit comprised of the fan and filter. These doors offer an easy entrance for the serviceability of both sections. Both hinges and handles are offered as two different options one is made of a Black nylon while the other consists of Aluminum die cast powder with an easy to use key and lock mechanism. Both types of hinges provide adequate strength and safety to the door. An optional feature is the unhinged door where the door is completely taken off the actual unit and reattached through a key and internal lock. View Port and Marine Light: A view port window is presented on both the fan and filter door panels which facilitates in the monitoring and maintenance of both areas. While a lamp/switch option using marine lighting helps provide enough light for easy visibility.

Software Selection : From customer specifications to submittals to manufacturing to delivery of an AHU all these steps are a part of a rather complex, tedious and time consuming journey; however Awal Gulf has made this journey easier for their clientele by developing a state of the art AHU Selection Program which works from basic principles and rules allowing customized Air Handling Units to be designed by the consumer himself. Where, for instance, unit parameters are entered and the system automatically displays information allowing the programmer to make the optimum selection based on a customer's individual requirements. The air handler is pictorially built using color coded icons and the system error can check all entries to ensure a viable unit has been designed. The component selections are calculated from their fundamentals and psychometric validation charts and predictions are also included for further product precision. Equipment vendors own selection methods are also utilized to ensure complete technical and financial compatibility, having the system calculate the performance, weight, length and air pressure drop for each component. Once designed, the technical submittals and GA drawings can be generated quickly and the unit can also be sectioned for transportation or site access by using the scale representation. By this stage the complete make up of the unit is determined and a utility is included to allow the shop floor operator to view the panel and mullion layout. Material consumption and labor times are also derived from fundamentals giving the engineer vital information during the design stage itself, thus shortening the cycle time.
