5 About the Company Almost 45 years ago, Kairak was established on the foundation of manufacturing innovative refrigeration systems that would elevate kitchen production and efficiency to a new level. Our spirit and dedication helped our business expand over the years by creating reliable products that not only met health department demands, but also took our customers needs to heart. These concepts have led to the development of incomparable products and a boutique - style of operation that together make Kairak unique. A remarkable advancement in refrigeration, BLU s no frost, no defrost, no fans cooling system means never having to worry about fluctuating temperatures or quality of your food. BLU addresses several inefficiencies experienced in traditional refrigeration systems offered in the marketplace today. WHAT LED TO THE DESIGN OF BLU? BLU is the result of Kairak s desire to create innovative products that provide superior solutions for our clients. We are confident our customers will be more than satisfied with our breakthrough BLU products because we are pleased to say that our customers are exactly the ones who inspired us. Over three years ago we set up a focus symposium with engineers from the ITW Technology Center and invited key end-users and design consultants to help us better understand their day-to-day operational experiences and needs. Thus, we became familiar with the many frustrations that were commonly experienced (inconsistent temperatures, frost build-up, hassles with defrost cycles, damage to fans and related components) and were determined to resolve these problems. Coolant temperature is maintained near the freezing point of water to prevent frost or ice build-up, which can create heat-transfer inefficiencies in a cooling system. Through precise control of temperature, all types of food products can remain in BLU Pan Chillers day or night with no risk of freezing your high water content foods. NO DEFROST No need for chilling system to undergo a periodic shutdown for a defrost cycle, which can increase food temperatures. BLU Pan Chillers also eliminate the operational burden of removing food pans prior to the defrost period. No defrost cycle means that food can be consistently cooled 100% of the time, day or night. NO FANS BLU Pan Chillers require no fans to enhance refrigeration, eliminating worry that condensation and food spillage will damage the fan and associated components. With no vents or ducts for airflow, the seamless stainless steel liner can be easily wiped or flushed clean at the end of a busy day. No electrical components, wiring, or fans within the food well. With the entire refrigeration unit confined to one simple package and built from high-quality components, our customers will enjoy years of reliable performance. 9 TEMPERATURE PERFORMANCE The BLU refrigeration system introduces a low pressure, steady flow of liquid coolant through each hollow divider bar without the need for copper piping, delivering high-capacity coolant throughout the system. Our Pan Chiller system will exceed current NSF requirements by maintaining food at or below 39 using specified 6 deep pans.* *Temperature subject to vary based on environmental conditions and operator interaction. CONSISTENT, UNIFORM COOLING This coolant does not change state which allows for more consistent temperature throughout the system and decreased pressure to prevent leaks. In addition, the present system does not include any electrical components or wiring within the food well, therefore reducing the chances of contamination or damage to the components and reducing the cost of maintenance and downtime. BLU Refrigeration works independently once installed it operates using a secondary coolant (Glycol) to refrigerate various medium temp fixtures, and low temp fixtures through the use of water-cooled condensing units, reducing temperature fluctuations to ensure better product stability. This steady pressure system circulates the coolant throughout the restaurant and limits refrigerant circulation to only the Rack, reducing the probability of refrigerant leaks. 12 PREP TABLES Designed with the operator in mind, Kairak s Prep Tables can help transform your kitchen production line into the perfect combination of workspace and refrigeration storage. Our unique flush mounted design allows easy access to ingredients and helps your staff stay focused on the product and portions. On our BLU Prep Tables, glycol runs through each divider bar to ensure direct contact with condiment pans, keeping temperatures consistent and preventing waste. Our Prep Tables can hold a combination of 1/3, 1/6 and 1/9 size pans. These practical components are easily retrofitted into existing counters or designed for new refrigerated or non-refrigerated counters. 16 Remote Refrigeration Kairak offers an extensive line of Remote Refrigeration and Glycol Systems for multiple applications including schools, independent restaurants, chains, hotel establishments and more. Remote Systems provide great benefits to any operation by removing the heat and noise of multiple condensing units from the retail area or kitchen space -- thus reducing air conditioning and operating costs. Our systems can be remotely located anywhere indoors or outdoors (rooftop or slab mounted) and are designed to withstand ambient air temperatures of 115 F and in some cases 135 F and higher. All models are available with sectional condensers, which can be replaced, modified, or serviced at any time without affecting the performance of the rest of the systems.
