2 The DAUREX eccentric screw pump belongs to the family of rotating positive displacement pumps. It combines the advantages of the low-pulse delivery of the centrifugal pumps with the careful delivery of the piston pump. DAUREX Quick Clean Pumps: Are specially suited for the exacting demands of the food, foodstuffs, luxury food, paint and varnish, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and chemical industries. Are manufactured from standard high quality special steel (1.4571). The stator materials we use are selected individually according to the medium to be pumped, and can be produced from a solid as well as from an elastomer. Materials used in the food industry are certified for foodstuffs (FDA). Pump all products gently and with a low pulsation flow, from thin fluids to highly viscous, pasty media, and media containing solids. Gaseous, effervescent and unclean media can also be pumped at very high or very low temperatures without a problem. In addition to the obvious advantages of the eccentric screw pump, they also have the advantage of easy disassembly and sterilisation. Standard equipment includes a stationary, pressure-relieved and bidirectional mechanical seal. EDS Series made to meet your particular need Drive motors All drive motors are directly flanged. We offer a selection of geared motors, three-phase motors, variable speed gear motors, and hydraulic motors. Materials All parts coming in contact with your product are made from (V2A), (V4A) stainless steel or steel. Stators are made of NBR elastomers (also of food stuff quality), Hypalon, neoprene, EPDM, Viton, from PE, PA, PTFE plastics (also fibreglass strengthened), using the metallic material grey cast iron, CuAL and stainless steel.

4 DAUREX V (m /h) E 800 We welcome individual customer requests Working method and delivery principle The most important elements are the screw-shaped spiral, single-flight eccentric steel screw (rotor) and the double-threaded housing insert (stator) which is manufactured out of an elastomer or a solid matter. The gap between the stator and the rotor is restricted by the sealing line. The rotational movement causes the media which is trapped in the gap to be continuously delivered from the suction to the delivery side. The sealing between the rotor and the stator remains intact even when the pump is at a standstill. This results in a high pumping capacity which is independent of the rotational speed. 5 Pump Sizes DAUREX EDS Series pumps are produced in a total of 10 sizes: 1. EDS Series l 2. EDS Series EDS Series l The pump size indicates the pumping performance in 1/min at the lowest speed. Range of use Pressure stages DAUREX pumps are available in 4 pressure-stages as standard: 1-stage up to 6 bar, 2-stage up to 12 bar, 3-stage up to 18 bar, and 4-stage up to 24 bar. Suction capacity The suction capacity of the EDS pump depends greatly on the viscosity and the speed. Suction levels of 8.5 m water line are achieved. Additional pressure stages can be requested. The quantity pumped is proportional to the speed. The speed, however, is not arbitrary, but is based on the stator material and the values, viscosity and abrasiveness of the material. As a general rule, the higher the viscosity and abrasiveness, the lower the speed must be. The quantity pumped is not affected much by a change in the pressure. An even delivery flow allows our pumps to be used as metering pumps.
