1 Controlled Humidity Solutions for Potato Storage Optiguide s Humidity Enhance systems with its Tabor Atomizer and Optiguide Humidistat deliver controlled dry and very high relative humidity up to RH any Tempreture down to 0 C, for ideal storage of potatoes and all tuber crops. Optiguide system provides true high humidity control and dry fog without condensation, wetting and clogging.
2 USA and world wide Patented Tabor Atomizer creates uniform humidity by blasting water with supersonic compressed air to Microdroplets of 2-10 micron in diameter form a uniform dry fog which evaporates into the air before the droplets reach object. Tabor atomizer huge 1.4mm orifice prevents clogging (common in pin-hole foggers) in any water quality and when spray treatments are used. Optiguide Humidistat provide accurate readings up to RH 98%. When room RH is lower then programmed, Optiguide sensor activates Tabor units to enhance room humidity. When Optiguide sensor detects desired RH, it sends a shut-off signal. Optiguide PLC M III controlling rooms desired RH. Optiguide PLC is stand-alone with its own display unit. Optiguide PLC transmits full data constantly to any connected PC. HMI Storage III software Optiguide HMI Storage III software installed on the PC provides full control and data logging of rooms RH and Temperature. Optiguide System Prevents Weight Loss All cold storage systems remove water vapor from the air in the CS room. The cold dry air increases transpiration and water loss from stored products, resulting in weight and value loss. Potatoes stored without added humidity can lose 10-12% of their weight over six months. Existing evaporative coolers and spray disc systems can raise humidity to 90-92%, and reduce loss by 5-6%. Optiguide system provide dry, controlled high humidity up to RH 95-98% and reduce weight loss by 10%. Optiguide System Maintains Firmness As water loss breaks down cell turgor, potatoes lose firmness. High humidity keeps potatoes firm for the sharpest, most even cuts, so that chips and fries absorb less oil in frying. Optiguide System Maintains Starch Content In potatoes stored with poor humidity control, starch converts to sugar. High humidity maintains starch content for good taste and white color in fries.
