6 Definitions of Native Plant Products and Services Seeds: Seeds of native plants for landscaping, forage, wildlife habitat, and other purposes : Potted plants, ready for planting, growing in small to large containers; may be nursery inventory or custom grown :, ready for planting, growing in small cells of various sizes : Woody plants ready to be planted bare rooted seedlings, trees or shrubs in pots, or larger trees and shrubs dug from field production : Planting, establishment, and/or care of landscapes for homes, businesses, public places, and other small areas : Individuals who are licensed and accredited by state governments to plan landscapes in outdoor public areas, landmarks, and gardens of various sizes : Individuals who plan landscapes, usually residential and commercial gardens : Individuals who plant, care for, and maintain individual or small numbers of trees : Evaluates forests and timber stands, creates management plans, and sometimes implements management plans : Provides resource management and/or maintenance, usually for larger tracts of land : Provides native plant specialists for educational events, organizes seminars/workshops, owns/maintains places to see native plants in gardens, restorations, and natural areas, and/or provides educational materials : An institution that supports the promotion of native plants, such as a botanical institution, a non-profit organization, an educational institution, or a community : Products and services related to native plants and their uses, including erosion control, stromwater management, revegetation products, and compost. A native plant education and marketing program of the Missouri Prairie Foundation Native plants are adapted to our climate and soils. They furnish vital food and habitat for birds, butterflies, pollinators, and other wildlife species. They provide edibles for people and high quality forage for livestock. Native plants offer sustainable solutions for environmental landscape challenges.
