1 LUMC Places large order for several MVE1841 and MVE1536 vessels The Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (University Medical Centre) has placed a large order for dry gas phase storage vessels with Cryo Solutions BV. The order comprises of a combination of large vessels of the MVE1841 wide neck type and also the high efficiency MVE1536 HE Eterne series. In this way they found just the right combination between the highest possible storage capacity per square meter footprint, the lowest Nitrogen consumption and quick and easy access to their racks. The MVE1841 is equipped with our watertight storage frame with partitions (one per rack) and the MVE1536 has an internal turntable. Both types of vessel are of course equipped with the new CryoFill with gas bypass and defog functions. 2 Cryobank for VU medisch Centrum Amsterdam In the past the IVF centre of the VUMC University Medical Centre has bought several of the special dry gas phase straw storage MVE816 2T vessels from Cryo Solutions. Now, the idea was to modify their cryobank and to improve the way they were working with liquid nitrogen - and for that reason the contacted us. The modification consists of several items: first they purchased two 400L liquid Nitrogen pressure tanks - which can be filled from the outside via a filling box mounted on the wall. Both 400L tanks are connected to a switchover device, so when tank 1 is empty it automatically switches to tank 2. This whole is connected to vacuum insulated piping to which the MVE816 vessels are connected for their N2 supply. The cryobank is also equipped with a degas system, a manual discharge via a deadman s button, O2 detection and semi-automatic filling of the pressure tanks for their Planer 360 controlled rate freezers. Cryo Solutions at the Labtechnology 2014 exhibition This year s Labtechnology exhibition in the Netherlands was once again a great success for Cryo Solutions. The exhibition took place in the Jaarbeurs exhibition complex in Utrecht and during the exhibition we presented the new IVF storage vessel, the MVE816, and the new CryoFill controller. We worked together with the company s Salm & Kipp, Gilson and Het IJscafé from from Boxtel MVE1839 for Sanquin Amsterdam As an addition to all the vessels they purchased over the past years, the stem cell laboratory at Sanquin bought a new MVE wide neck biological storage vessel with the Cryo Solutions dry gas phase inventory storage system. This inventory system consists of a watertight frame with partitions for the racks which enables quick and easy access to the racks with blood bags when retrieving them. In conjunction with this delivery, Cryo Solutions BV helped with moving a large quantity of samples from another location to Leiden. This had to done under controlled conditions into the MVE1536. Yet another fine example of One stop Shopping where Cryo Solutions show how they can assist the client in the best possible way. Participation ESHRE 2014 Cryo Solutions participated in the latest of the ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) shows, this year in Munich. This was in cooperation with another Dutch company IKS International and Mortek AS from Norway. We showed an MVE816 2T with CryoFill and the connection to the XiltriX alarm monitoring system of IKS - and were overwhelmed by the positive response. Additionally, ReAssure can be used with an independent temperature probe to meet today s regulations requiring independent monitoring. ReAssure can also set acceptable alarm conditions. If the reading falls outside these, alarms come via SMS / phone (landline & GSM) or as visual and audible alarms. Remote access allows log in online via a web browser (secure user name and password) - with different access levels for each user. False alarms can be avoided by adding delays before sending certain types of alarms and by ignoring certain aspects of alarms such as communication errors.
