2 Are you prepared for new ECDIS standards? The latest revision to the Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems The new regulations also encourage standardisation, which benefits ship operators twofold: (ECDIS) were introduced in August The rules state that previous editions were still valid for 12 months - and the IMO extended this deadline by another 12 months.
