1 Main features of the JETnet system Proven concept. The JETnet microduct system of Draka Comteq is a well-established system used on a worldwide basis by many reputable companies. JETnet continues to maintain the customer s highest demands for quality and life expectancy. Thousands of kilometres have already been installed using the JETnet concept. In addition, the reliability and long term durability of the JETnet system is demonstrated continuously at a test bed facility constructed adjacent to the Draka Comteq production site in Delfzijl in the Netherlands. Here a complete installation methodology and testing of the duct network installation is available. The test bed demonstrates the fact that the JETnet system continues to function correctly, even after having been submerged for many years in extreme moisture and mud like conditions. Draka Comteq - Holland Concept The JETnet system is a simple cable and duct system using and mini cables. High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) provide a continuous path for the outside plant rated mini cables. Jetting technology allows installation distances of up to 2.5km in a single blow, reducing installation costs and allowing flexibility in design. Small component size reduces the required duct infrastructure with up to 5x 96 fibre cables able to be installed in a single 40mm duct. Connections are made on an as required basis using anywhere anytime splittable branch connectors that require no interruption to existing services. Microjet Cable Blowing Microducts can be installed loose in protective ducts with or without resident cables or can be provided pre-loaded into HDPE ducts ready for new installations. Indoor versions using flame retardant are available, which allows JETnet t to be extended in High-rise buildings all the way to the customer without intermediate jointing. 3 JETnet Cables JETnet cables come in a range of sizes (1 to 144 fibres), construction (Gel and Dry core) and types (Single mode or Multimode).
