47 Cyclic Movement Endurance Test Cyclic Movement Endurance Test for Side-Hung Fire Resistant Doorset MS 1073 : PART 3 : 1996 (AMD. 1: 2003) Appendix B The test focus on ironmongeries fitted on the door such as door closer, lockset, hinges, door coordinator, and autobolt. The objective of this test is to determine the performance of all the ironmongeries fitted to the fire resistant door as a system General requirement ; a doorset shall subjected to 100,000 cycles of continuous opening and closing Fire test and cyclic test samples will be similar size, design and construction

48 Cyclic Movement Endurance Test Procedure: Before the test, self closure system (door closer) shall be adjusted to bring the door to the closed position in 4 to 6 seconds Opening of not less than 85 but not more than 90 After completion of test, doorset shall be capable of closing properly, maintaining all clearance, show no wear or damage on any parts that may impair its reliability of functioning
