1 Carrier Foretrack V100 Installation Guidelines DC500T - V2.6 Asda 1. Install DataCOLD 500T with unit Microprocessor Communicationn as per Installation Instruction Mount the Carrier Foretrack V100 GPRS tracking device as shown below. 3. Fit the GPRS antenna in the highest most convenient location at the top of the refrigeration unit using the supplied adhesive pad. Then securely fit the Connection box in the same area (examples below). 4. Securely screw together the brass connections inside the box following the correct colour coding (do not over tighten) and fit the box lid using the screws supplied ensuring that the seal is correctly located. 2 5. Using the grommet supplied route the GPRS antenna connections through in to the DataCOLD 500T recorder using one of the existing grommet holes. If all existing grommet holes are used re-route two probe cables in to one. 6. Connect the Carrier Foretrack V100 data cable & antenna as shown below: DC 500 TX1 RX1 GRD CABLE RED ORANGE BROWN IMPORTANT: DO NOT connect the power supply to the Carrier Foretrack V100 tracking device at this stage. 7. Specific for Asda Due to existing remote control panel connections to the COM port the DataCOLD 500T unit communication cable is to be connected to the SAT COM port, this is harness connected to the 5 way Deutsch connector. Remove the connector and connect the wiring as shown below: X 5 Way SAT COM Harness 3MP27 SATCOM A 3MP15 SATCOM B DC 500 TX2 RX2 3MP03 SATCOM C GRD In addition please ensure that micro configuration SATCOM is set to Other as per Service Bulletin AFS PROD. 3 8. Ensure the DataCOLD 500T has software version v2.17 or higher. This is done by pressing the Green button once and scrolling to menu 3.11 Display Version. Upgrade if necessary. 9. Set up the DataCOLD 500T GPRS communication by pressing and holding the Green button until prompted to enter a password. Using the Blue button on the keypad enter 1111 and scroll to Menu 11 Communication Settings. 10. In Menu 11.1 Com Port 1 Setting, select Third Party. 11. In Menu 11.2 Com Port 2 Setting, select relevant unit type as below: TM = Supra, Maxima Mono, TM800 & TM1000 R/TR = Genesis, Supra MT & Maxima MT Vector = Vector & Vector MT In Menu Auto Alarm Limits, select YES (this is where we use the 'out of range' from the refrigeration unit). In Menu Automatic Alarm On, select YES (this is so thatt the alarm menus become active once the refrigeration unit is switched on, it also prevents the operator switching them off). 12. Scroll to Menu 7 Compartment Settings, and select number of compartments depending on unit type e.g. 1, 2 or 3. Assign the relevant sensors to the selected compartments remembering to select NO when asked Alarm on Txx?. Alarms are covered in Menu Scroll to Menu 8 Temperature Alarm Settings. This should be set up as follows: Alarm Group 1 = ON (this is automatically switched ON when you select Auto. Alarm Limits YES) All other Alarm Groups = OFF Note: Failure to follow the steps in sections 10, 11, 12 & 13 correctly will affect the communication links between the refrigeration unit, Datacold 500 & GPRS tracking device. 4 14. If a Door Switch is connected to the Datacold 500 due to system integration between Foretrack & Isotrak this must be installed on digital input D1 only 15. Switch on the refrigeration unit and allow it to start. 16. Connect the power supply cable for the V100 tracking device to the same power supply connections on the DataCOLD 500T recorder. Once connected ensure the two LED s light up and begin to flash (see chart below). LED Indicators GPS Status (green): GSM Status (red): Constant ON Flash (1Hz) Constant OFF Constant ON Slow flash (0.5Hz) Quick flash (1Hz) Constant OFF Searching for initial fix GPS 3D navigation Lost GPS signal GSM ON, searching for network GSM registered on network GSM communicationn in progress GSM Modem OFF 17. Check operation of the DataCOLD 500T including unit communication by pressing the RED statuss button. Check that there is a valid Setpoint shown in the display (If none present check all connections and Micro configurations before proceeding further). Note: In the communication process the arrow will appear on the display, during this time the keypad will be temporarily locked. NB: The settings in this procedure relate specifically to the Carrier Foretrack option and are over and above the standard DataCOLD 500R setup. E.g. Vehicle Reg, Customer name etc. 18.
