1 2018 Del Mar Fair exhibit plant sale On Friday, July 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. there will be a sale of plants used in this year s SDHS Fair Garden Exhibit at the fairgrounds. Cost is wholesale less an additional 25%. If you are interested, please park in the main lot off of Jimmy Durante Blvd. and enter the garden exhibit area through the Human Resource Dept (like the Night at the Fair on June 11 th ). Refer to the plant descriptions in the accompanying document for photos and cultural requirements. Items marked NSF (Not for Sale) are loaned plants. Rosette with wide fleshy leaves of pale green which age to a pinkish papery texture in drier summer months. In winter and spring it produces a number of tall erect pinkish white stems that produce numerous pointy, rosy-red flowers. Covered in dense coating of chalky, powdery wax.
