2 Jubilee edition On March 22 nd 24 th, the 25th edition of International Trade Show LIGHT and 15th edition of International Trade Show ELECTRICITY took place under the Honorary Patronage of the Ministry of Economic Development. On the area of over square meters the record number Polish and foreign companies. Both events were visited by nearly trade specialists. EVENT S CHARACTERISTICS Trade Show LIGHT and Trade Show ELECTRICITY are the most important events in Poland in terms of lighting, electrical engineering and electrical installations. This is where producers showcase their innovative products, solutions and technology. Both events have the training and exhibition formula - trainings, seminars, conferences and workshops are closely connected with the presentation of the equipment and the up-to-date technology and design. Numerous competitions have been organized at this year's Trade Shows and prestigious prizes and awards, among them the fair awards, the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers awards and the 2016 Personality of the Year Award in electricity, electrical engineering and lighting sector. This event was accompanied by the 2016 Best Polish Illuminated Cities and Municipalities Project Competition and the Best Lighting Investment of Both Trade Show LIGHT and Trade Show ELECTRICITY provide practical knowledge in the field of lighting, electrical engineering, teletechnical installations and building regulations and are the best in the country for business meetings, exchange of experience as well as the platform for establishing new business contacts. The biggest exhibition sector of LIGHT was home and decorative lighting and outdoor as well as technical lighting. Exhibitors also showed a wide range of architectural lighting. The exhibition was addressed to designers, distributors, contractors and administrators of building and industrial telecommunication systems. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Polish Telecommunication Association XXI and the Polish Chamber of Digital Radiodiffusion. TELECOMMUNICATION Exhibition was accompanied by the training on Modern telecommunication installations in constructing. Trade Show ELECTRICITY was also accompanied by an exhibition of companies gathered at the Polish Electrical Chamber of Commerce s stand. VISITORS International Trade Show LIGHT and International Trade Show ELECTRICITY are a business events, addressed to professionals, including manufacturers and distributors, architects and designers and electrical engineers. Trade shows year by year are increasingly popular. This year's edition of the event was visited by a record number of visitors - 15,595 people. Visitors from other European countries (Germany, Italy, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, United Kingdom, France) and Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Turkey were among the participants. A significant group of guests was a delegation of trades and investors from Iran, Algeria and Egypt. The visitors from Canada and Us for the first time were reported. Page 3

5 VISITORS owner employee electrical engineers manager fitters architects and designers investors local government representatives traders others The Trade shows visitors appreciated the extremely wide range of presented products and services as well as a rich program of the accompanying events, consisting of a series of conferences, lectures and workshops. During this event a large number of new and premiere products were presented. Among them many innovative solutions that have provided visitors with inspiration and priceless guidance on the latest trends. CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS In addition to the exhibition LIGHT 2017 and ELECTRICITY 2017 are also an exceptionally rich program of accompanying events - trainings and conferences, workshops, discussion panels and industry consultations, exhibitions of achievements in Polish technical thought and design. During both events a total of 17 industry meetings were organized. All the trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences have gathered 1566 people. Training meetings were addressed to designers, architects, senior technical supervisors and independent contractors in the construction industry, investors, developers, local government representatives, road managers, property managers, energy companies and installers. The events formula guarantees the participants of the meetings the opportunity to confront the obtained information with the Exhibitors' offers presented at the fair stands. Special guest of this meeting was Susanna Antico whose design studio has developed more than 50 urban lighting projects, award-winning throughout the world Seminar on the cost analysis of the construction and operation of the road lighting systems Discussion panels in the Open Interior Zone Smart LED Lighting Conference Consultation on photometric measurements of LEDs Training for companies charged with excessive purchase costs of electricity, organized in cooperation with the Institute of Renewable Energy DIALux Lighting Design Software training Two training sessions on building telecommunication installations ACCOMPANYING EVENTS OPEN INTERIOR ZONE At the Light Trade Show special OPEN INTERIOR Zone was designed by architect Justyna Smolec. Apart from the products exhibition the OPEN INTERIOR Zone was a place to exchange thoughts and ideas about design. Each day Architects and designers as well as representatives of manufacturers took part in panel discussions about lifestyle concepts in interior design. OPEN INTERIOR was created by 14 lighting and interior design companies, including Barlinek, Koło, Rec.On, Anwis, Adriana and foreign such as Pfleiderer, Flos, Slamp and Forlight, OLEDworks and Maas & Roos. EXHIBITION OF POLISH DESIGN The International Trade Show of Lighting Equipment LIGHT is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe. It attracts hundreds of companies from all over the world and huge number of visitors. This year's edition was unique in terms of the variety of exhibits being displayed. Exhibitors of young Polish artists and designers attended the exhibition Exhibition of the Association of Industrial Design as well as the Exhibition of the Design Department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and the exhibition of the awarded projects of the design contests. The purpose of these exhibitions is to promote the co-operation of design designers with entrepreneurs, where knowledge and experience both result in well-designed products. The exhibition presents the effects of this cooperation, the way and the directions in which the Polish design is heading. Light it up! Exhibition of the Association of Industrial Designers LIGHT 2017 was accompanied by the exhibition "Light it up!" Organized by the Association of Industrial Designers. Various lighting projects from the members of the association were presented. Lamps and lighting have been developed over the last few years and relate to the current trends in indoor and outdoor lighting. At the exhibition, alongside the accomplishments veteran designers, were also the projects of the younger generation. Exhibition of the Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts LIGHT 2017 also hosted an exhibition of student projects realized at the Faculty of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The exhibition presented works from the past few years, realized in various design studios from the second to the fourth year of study. Page 5

POLISH INNOVATION ON A GLOBAL SCALE - SOLAR BATTERY BOAT At ELECTRICITY 2017 for the first time the Polish version of the new generation solar boat was shown. The boat is designed especially for all amateurs of water recreation, anglers, ornithologists and nature photographers. The use of electric propulsion allows exploration of areas where it is prohibited to use internal combustion engines. TRADE SHOWS CONTESTS: As part of the LIGHT 2017 and ELECTRICITY 2017 the following competitions were held: Competition for the Most Innovative Product or Technology Competition for the Best Product of the Trade Show Competition for the Best Illuminated City, Municipality of 2016 Competition for the Best Lighting Project of 2016 Personality of the Year 2016 Competition for students and young designers - Rhythm of Light Tastes of Light competition Competition for the best Trade Show s stand During the opening ceremony Trade Show s and the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers awards were granted.
