The deliberate usage of this colour can capture the atmosphere in a room. The green colour in the kitchen is reminiscent of the green fields and herbs of Ireland. Strong design In the penthouse of an international professional footballer a gas fireplace was constructed according to a Scottish design. Stucco decoration in combination with alcoves creates an exciting atmosphere. The white colour supports the play of light and shadow. MMA 03 Old made new MMA 04 In order to highlight the Gobelin tapestry in the stairwell, the stucco was draperied in restrained old rose colour. The hue of the paint is in tune with the colours used in the tapestry.

14 Staging a remarkable effect The façade of this building was inspired by a picture of a three-hundred year old Tuscan villa. The owner, an opera director, wanted his home to have a particularly individual style. Therefore a special glazing was developed for the exterior coat, which with a new technique was applied to the rough façade. Using a spatula technique, the paint was manually applied to the walls and afterwards covered with the glazing. The selected colour hue perfectly emphasises the antique charm of the building. MFA 05
