Thank you for attending the Public Information Meeting for the I-15/CC-215 Northern Beltway Interchange Project presented by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), in coordination with the City of North Las Vegas. This project includes the following improvements: New flyover ramps between I-15 and Clark County 215 (Las Vegas Beltway) interchange; The addition of I-15 southbound ramps and reconstruction of I-15 northbound ramps for the I-15 and Tropical Parkway interchange; Reconfiguration of local streets to improve traffic flow around the interchange; and Landscape and aesthetic enhancements. Tonight s public meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. with a brief presentation by the NDOT Project Manager at 5:30 p.m. Audience members will have the opportunity to publicly comment after the presentation. Before and after the presentation, the meeting will be conducted as an open house to provide you with the opportunity to view the displays, receive answers from project staff and submit comments. Ways to Comment During this meeting and through Friday, December 21, 2018, we encourage you to provide comments concerning the proposed final design for this project. You may submit your comments and any supporting exhibits for the public record in the following ways: Make an audience comment following tonight s presentation. Comments will be recorded. Record a comment with the court reporter or fill out a comment form during tonight s meeting and leave it with ta project representative or drop it in the comment box. your comments to Dwayne Wilkinson at dwilkinson@dot.nv.gov. 5 12/3/2018 Project Scope Constructing new direct connect ramps between I-15 and Clark County 215 (Las Vegas Beltway) interchange Building I-15 southbound ramps and reconstructing I-15 northbound ramps for the I-15 and Tropical Parkway interchange Reconfiguring local streets to improve traffic flow around the interchange Landscape and aesthetic enhancements 12/04/ Right of Way Right of Way acquisitions are needed for construction of the project to occur A total of 10 property acquisitions, impacting 5 property owners and the relocation of one billboard sign, are needed Atkins, a consultant for the Department, is conducting right-of-way acquisitions 12/04/
6 12/3/2018 Right of Way Temporary Construction Easements: 3 To allow for construction to occur on property owned by the National Guard (State of Nevada), Clark County and Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Permanent Easements: 2 To build a bridge structure over the UPRR; property will be transferred to Clark County after construction Fee Acquisitions: 5 Industrial and commercial property. Needed for the realignment of local streets to tie-in with the new interchange. The billboard relocation is being impacted by the construction of a portion of Tropical Parkway. 12/04/ Proposed Design All information presented is preliminary and subject to revision. 12/04/
7 12/3/2018 Project Features Sculptural elements made from weathered steel and translucent polycarbonate. Decorative rock in an alluvial fan pattern. Concrete landscape earth walls. All information presented is preliminary and subject to revision. 12/04/ Funding Total project cost: Between $96 and $110.5 million Engineering: Between $9 and $10 million Right-of-Way: Between $7 and $7.5 million Construction: Between $80 and $93 million The project is 95% federally funded and 5% state funded 12/04/
