17 How to develop a winning entry and a successful project plan? Keep in mind the assignment Follow the competition rules and requirements carefully Name it shortly and descriptively Visuality inspires and is absolutely required Remember there s 4 seasons not only summer Address all pillars of sustainability (econ., ecol., social) Consider economical constraints but don t let them hinder Consider also the feasibility Can it be implemented in phases Responsible actors (and appeal to jury members), but don t worry too much about it; implementation is somebody else s headache Maintenance, endurance Balance the amount of information, pictures and materials less is less more is more usually less is more When presenting, respect the deadline and time slot given Believe in your own intuition and be inspired Nordic Case Competition Hanasaari and Otaniemi, Finland Meri Löyttyniemi, Aalto University and Nordic Sustainable Campus Network
