The use of the Harrisburg Baltimore Spring City Luminaire accomplished a stylistic historical luminaire that complements the architectural appeal of the Washington Bridge, while adding technological LED advancements, providing superior return on investment, and added safety for path users. 3 NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT YALE UNIVERSITY KEEPING TRADITION Yale University is the third oldest institute of higher education in the United States. Given its age and Ivy League tradition, the University s campus has its own historic architectural story. The Spring City Franklin Square LED is the perfect style to provide enhanced lighting without disrupting the campus outside aesthetic feeling and appeal. 5 BLENDING NEW & OLD Jacob Scharf Playground is a result of Everett s initiative for renovation, development, and asset preservation. The playground aesthetically is a blend of new and old. 6 CONCORD, MASSACHUSETTS MONUMENT SQUARE ILLUMINATING HISTORY The Columbia pendant is a fitting style for the history-rich Monument Square. The Columbia illuminates the same streets traveled by both Henry Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson. In fact Thoreau spent a night in the old prison west of the common for non-payment of taxes, which led to him penning Civil Disobedience. 7 WRIGHTSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA WRIGHTSVILLE BRIDGE CUSTOM CAPABILITIES Designed in 1929, the Wrightsville Bridge was the longest multi-span concrete arch bridge in the world when built. The bridge has a district art deco design. Sometime after WWII the original lights where replaced. Two of the old bronze fixtures sat on a lawn of a local salvage yard as ornaments. When the community decided it was time for the bridge relighting project they contacted Spring City. From those two old fixtures along with photographs, Spring City reproduced historically accurate fixtures and poles, while simultaneously upgrading to the most advanced LED system available. 9 DISTINCTLY NYC Hosting visitors from around the globe, Central Park is a distinct installation. NYC holds the aesthetic design patent for the luminaires used in Central Park, and the Spring City luminaires installed are unique to the park. Considering the custom design capability and coupled with the LED Symphonic technology while easily outperforming the competition, Spring City was the obvious choice. 10 NORFOLK, VA NORFOLK STATE UNIVERSITY A TOUCH OF PERSONALITY The Norfolk is simply a fun looking luminaire. Norfolk State University is a functional, well-designed campus; however, the use of the Norfolk adds a bit of flair to the scenery, giving each landscape a touch of personality. 11 CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS JOHN WEEKS BRIDGE SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL The John Weeks Bridge opened in 1927 to carry pedestrian traffic between the Harvard Business School s then newly built Allston campus and the Business School s former home, Harvard s traditional campus in Cambridge. Besides being a popular vantage point from which to enjoy the Head of the Charles Regatta, the light poles represent a perfect example of Springs City s custom capabilities.
