Press the main power switch at the right in front and its indicator lights, showing that the sterilizer has been connected to power. The device is now at the initial stage and the working condition displayer shows LD. The sterilizer does not heat up. To 8
begin the sterilizing process, press the START/STOP button. 7.1 Water Supplement If, after turning on the sterilizer, the water level indicator flashes, indicating that the water in the reservoir is at the lowest level, you should add water to the tank. The indicator extinguishes once water is added and there is a prompt sound toot when the tank is full. If the lowest water level indicator lights after turning on the device, please fill in water according to the following steps: 1. B Model: Open the door of the sterilizer. Put the joint-free end of the attached drainpipe into the distilled water and the other end into the water inlet valve (Figure I 5). Press the UNWRAPPED button and starts the water adding process. When a toot prompt sound is heard, the process would be ended automatically. Pull out the drainpipe and the device is ready to work. 2. A Model: Take off the rubber lid covering the water inlet at the top of the device. Use a clean cup to pour the distilled water into the reservoir. When a toot prompt sound is heard, you should stop adding water to avoid overflow. Cautions: Distilled water must be used in order to extend the life span of the sterilizer. 1. Before adding water, the sterilizer must be turned on and the panel indicator light is on the initial state. 2. When the water has been filled to the maximum, a toot prompt sound would be heard, and after which any water adding process is without avail. 3. If the water-adding indicator turns on and gives an alarm, please fill in the tank in time when the work is finished. The water remained in the reservoir could still satisfy the need for one working cycle to ensure the normal and safe working of the sterilizer. 7.2 Sterilization Now the IN and OUT indicators have gone out and the sterilization can start. 7.2 (A)Choose the needed sterilizing process and working temperature. Note: When the sterilizing process has been chosen, generally the sterilizing temperature has been the standard default temperature. It is recommended that the 9
default temperature not be changed unless in special application circumstance. 7.2(B)When the sterilizing process has been chosen, the instruments to be sterilized can be put into the chamber. Note: Instruments should be placed on the instrument tray. There should be spaces between instruments to facilitate the air circulation in the sterilizing chamber. While putting the tray into the chamber, it is recommended that you use the attached hand rack to avoid being scalded. 7.2 (C)When the instruments have been put in place, the door can be closed and the knob should be turned to the end. Note: If, when you are closing the door, the sterilizing chamber is still hot and there is steam, it is normal that you may feel great resistance. You just need to add more strength and turn the knob to the utmost. Of course, you can also open the door and let the steam inside dry up, then you will find it much easier to close the door. Or you can push in a bit while turning the knob. 7.2(D)Now you can push the START/STOP button to begin the work, the condition indicator shows HE and the device begins the automated sterilizing process. You can now fully enjoy the work fun the sterilizer brings to you or do other work. The sterilizer will automatically heat, sterilize and dry the articles for you. The whole working process takes about 20 to 35 minutes. The length of working time depends on the number of articles put into the chamber, the initial temperature of the sterilizer and the sterilizing process you have chosen. Note: If the door is not closed properly, LD will flash in the panel while pressing START & STOP button. Close the door properly, or else the sterilizer will not work. If the door is opened during the working process, E6 will be shown in the condition displayer to give the alarm. In this situation, the power of the sterilizer must be turned off to relieve the alarm before the device can be used again. 10
7.2(E)When the sterilization has finished, the condition displayer shows ED and emits prompt sound, you can open the door and take out the sterile instruments. Note: Please use the attached hand rack to take the instruments out of the chamber to avoid scald. When the door is open, the process would return to LD condition, preserving heat and waiting for the next sterilizing process. Before the new process begins, the sterilizer will remain in the heat preservation condition. 7.2(F)If you no longer use the sterilizer, please turn of the main power. (Power indicator light out) Warning: Do not try to open the door of the sterilizer until the pressure gauge reads 0. Special papers or bags that can indicate the sterilizing effect are recommended to use in every sterilization. They should be put together with the articles to be sterilized into the chamber to ensure the reliability of every sterilizing effect. VIII. Abnormal Conditions If abnormal conditions arise in the working process, the sterilizer will automatically give an alarm, release pressure and stop heating so that operator s safety could be securely ensured. Alarm code would be shown in the panel at the same time (For the connotation of alarm codes, please refer to the following table: Malfunction Codes and Handling Methods) When there is abnormal condition, please check the alarm code table and follow the handling methods. If the malfunction still exits, please contact the local dealer or our after-sales service department in time and explain to the maintenance technician the situation as specific as possible, we will offer you help in the shortest possible time. If you found that the door is loose (the gasket is not sealed tightly), you can use the attached wrench to adjust. 9.1 Open the door of the sterilizer. 9.2 Insert the wrench from the lower part of the plastic shell of the door and place the opening of the wrench to the inner regulating nuts. (See the figure above) Turn the wrench counter-clockwise and the sterilizer will be sealed tighter. 12
9.3 Adjust until the sterilizer is well sealed up. When the knob is too tight, you can also turn the wrench clockwise to loosen the door on the premises that the sterilizer is tightly sealed. Caution: Do not adjust the sterilizer door when it is closed. X. Maintenance 10.1 Use medical sterile water to disinfect the reservoir weekly Use ethyl alcohol to sterilize and clean the surface of the sterilizer chamber monthly Replacement of Fuse (1)Cut off the power (2)Use slotted point screwdriver to turn the fuse base counter-clockwise and take out the fuse to be changed. (3)Put the new fuse on, place the fuse base back, and then use a screwdriver to turn clockwise the base until it is tight. (4)In replacing, make sure the parameters of the new fuse is correct Clean the gasket regularly You need to clean the gasket regularly in case that the impurities left after long use affect its sealing effect. Use hair-free cloth soaked with distilled water to wipe gently the surface of the gasket or the airproof lid. If, after the above procedure, there is still air leakage, you will need to take off the gasket to clean or replace with a new one. (It is recommended that you remove the gasket regularly for cleaning and inspection.) 10.5 Replacement of Gasket Tool: Please prepare a small slotted point screwdriver, and make sure that there is 13
no sharp point at its head. A. Pinch lightly the edge of the gasket with one hand, put the screwdriver carefully between the gasket and the door with the other hand and rout out the gasket slowly. B. After routing out a segment of the gasket, you can pull out the whole rubber ring slowly. Clean the gasket and its groove. Check for rips or damages, and if there is any, replace the gasket. C. After the cleaning, put the gasket back into the door s groove. Note: The gasket should be set in the groove evenly. Put firstly the four points equally distributed in the gasket into the groove, then the other parts. When the ring has been inset into the groove, use your hand to press the gasket to make it even. D. Note: While setting the gasket in the groove, the inner ring of the gasket may evert. Under such circumstance, you may use the screwdriver to press it meticulously into the groove. Power must be cut off before loading and unloading the gasket.
