3 The scenario We all Know Polyurethane (PUR): with its best features of Thermal conductivity, durability and lightness, is the Insulating Material of choice. Metal sandwich panels are widely used In residential buildings, and also in non residential / Industrial ones. Construction materials must meet stringent requirements of fire behavior: In this case the use of foams: Polyisocyanurathe (PIR) is preferred: because it combines PUR Characteristics + Greater Thermal Stability = obtaining a severe fire classification

4 PIR typically has an MDI/polyol ratio, also called its index (based on isocyanate/polyol stoichiometry to produce urethane alone), higher than 180. By comparison PUR indices are normally around 100. As the index increases material stiffness increase. Depending on the product application greater stiffness, chemical and/or thermal stability may be desirable. PIR manufacturers can offer multiple products with identical densities but different indices in an attempt to achieve optimal end use performance. T, catalyst Isocyanate Isocyanurate

10 DPR a brand new machine from Magma The Primer Station DPR is used for mixing (with MP portioning and dosing unit) a polyurethane, distributed on the lower sheet of a sandwich panel as a thin layer (film). The result is an optimized adhesion between the lower sheet of the panel and the PIR foam subsequently applied. Normally the station is positioned between the oven pre-heating and the traverse foaming. Two high-precision dosing units dispense in relation the components in a static mixer, using a special mixing head. At the end of the production process, the static mixer can be replaced easily. The DPR Machine is available in three version to fulfill almost all production s needs. We have realized: SINGLE ARM DOUBLE ARM BRIDGE

19 HMG Mixing head for MS series The mixing head HMG is self-cleaning by air, with the possibility to use, if needed, flows of other nature to wash the mixing chamber. Air Self-cleaning Thanks to special adaptor fittings, it is possible to dispense the products by injection, pouring and spraying. The operating system (opening/closing of the mixing head) of the HMG is pneumatic and it is manually controlled by the operator. The special features of mixing chamber allow to mount different injectors according to the different indexes of ISO then POL The mixing chamber and its block with the seals are easy to replace because connected to the head body by a bayonet mixing chamber system.
