2 Why have we put such effort into developing something so many considered impossible? By combining knowledge in pneumatics, automatic control and viscous materials SCANREX has successfully developed and designed a high precision, pneumatic powered, doser gun. Pressurized air is a superb power source in doser guns due to its springing characteristics and the absence of couplings between the power transmission and the moving mass. By adapting the control system to the characteristics of pressurized air, high precision and repeatability was achieved. The minimal number of moving parts in the doser gun gives the benefits of low spares cost, increased dependability combined with lower weight. SCANREX DOSMATIC SYSTEMS A reliable system designed to perform precision dispensing of one component high viscosity adhesives, i.e. Butyl, Polyurethane, Epoxy, Silicon, MS-Polymers etc. Typical applications are bonding and sealing of body parts in the automotive industry. The systems consists of SCANREX piston pumps in the HVP series, piston doser guns in the D and HD series, the control system and additional components. CONTINUOS DEVELOPMENT Two ways to set up a dispensing system with a HD-DOSER GUN, The top picture shows a fixed gun, the lower a robot carried gun. The high quality of our products is a result of continuous product development, improvement of manufacturing methods and of course our skilled staff. The products are designed and manufactured at our plant, located in Strömstad on the west coast of Sweden. All SCANREX products meet the council directive and are CE marked. 3 Since the mid 1990s SCANREX control systems have been proven to fulfil and exceed the industries demands for accuracy and dependability. The latest version called is built with hardware from an open system giving fast access to spares and service, since the components are available all over the world. SCANREX controls offers high performance and countless possibilities. Detects and compensates for deviations in material flow during ongoing cycle. Possible to plug in two expansion cards. Internet, Intranet or a direct modem connection.trend files, recipes and the alarm list in the terminal can be transferred to a PC using FTP file transfer. 4 DOSER GUNS The doser gun consists of a pneumatic powered piston that presses the material out of the nozzle. The minimal pressure drop through the doser gun makes it possible to reach high material flows with little applied force. The small forces reduces the stressing of the doser gun which results in long lifetime as well as lower costs for service and spares. Equipped with sensors and heating elements. Work temperature set in the span of +20 C to +150 C. Snuff-back function to avoid material spillage. Volume: 100cc and 220cc*. Pressure ratio 10:1 (with a booster 16:1). Weight 100cc 14 kg; 220cc 17kg. Flow rate 0-32cc/sec**. D 100cc Loading station CARRIED D-DOSER GUN After each dispensing cycle the Scanrex D-DOSER GUN is filled with media in a loading station. The lack of attached material hoses gives the robot an increased freedom to move, it can easily dispense on places that are difficult to access. FIXED HD-DOSERGUN HD 220cc HD 100cc When a fixed HD-DOSER GUN is used the robot holds the part, and conveys it under the nozzle of the doser gun. Subsequently, the robot can place the part in a fixture, in a folding machine or apply other operations to it. The HD-DOSER GUN is filled with material from a pump station; the material is pumped through a heated hose connected to the inlet valve on the doser gun.

5 PUMPS SCANREX double acting pneumatic piston pumps are used for different types of high viscosity materials, i.e. Butyl-Rubber, Polyurethane, Epoxy, Silicone, MS-Polymer, etc. They are designed for ease of use and maintenance. We manufacture pumps for container sizes between 20 litres and 1000 litres. HVP 300 HTM The is a heated pump unit often used with our Dosmatic systems. The pump is of hotmelt type and can manage heating and temperature holding in the span of +20 C and +150 C. ing capacity 120cc/doubblestroke. Maximum material pressure ca 300 bar. PUMP STATIONS The determining factors for the choice of pump station are the material viscosity as well as the material consumption rate of the Dosmatic system. In systems with a high material consumption rate two pumps with an automatic pump exchange unit is used. The control system automatically manages the pre heating and the pump exchange. The supply of material is tended by two pumps and a pump exchange unit. The changes pump when a material container is empty. The time of production stop for container exchange is kept at a minimum. The supply of material is tended by two separate pumps.
