18 Noise emissions: Look beyond the data sheet! Sound power vs sound pressure: Sound power level (Lw) is measured db to test standards in a sound lab. Sound pressure level (Lp) is measured on site. Related to orientation, situation, distance and sound power level Regularities and laws: Both values can t be directly compared without further information Relations are logarithmical not linear Duplicating the distance to the source reduces sound pressure level for 6 db 10 db difference is perceived as double the noise Using two identical units will be 3 db louder than just one Company Presentation STIEBEL ELTRON 20
