2 DATE: 5/5/2015 ADDRESS: 6341 West Dry Creek Rd, Healdsburg CA COMMENTS: 1. The recharge rate at the end of the test was 7.7 gallons per minute. This test may not represent the long term or seasonal yield. 2. The water was clear for the duration of the test. 3. The 2 HP 230V submersible well pump fills an 8000 gallon concrete storage tank. The well pump is controlled by an electric fill float. 4. The 1 HP 230V Jacuzzi 1RM2-S booster pump pressurizes a 62 gallon Well-X-Trol WX 251 pressure tank. The operating pressure is set for 50 to 75 PSI. 5. There is a 8 x 44" Culligan softener. The unit is unplugged, bypassed and the brine tank is empty. 6. There is an older well on the property that was not tested or inspected. RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. There is a 1" brass ball valve at the well head. Recommend removing handle to prevent damage to pump. 2. The booster pump is not protected from dry running. Recommend installing dry run control to prevent damage to booster pump. 3. The 3/4" offset nipple at the well head is broken in the well seal. Recommend repair. 4. The Culligan softener is out of service. Recommend servicing or upgrading softener. Storage tank systems are vulnerable to coliform bacteria since they are vented to the environment. Recommend installation of an Ultraviolet unit as a precautionary measure.
