Nursery Assembly Do not plug the machine into the wall outlet until the machine is fully assembled and you have read the instructions. The pumps should not be plugged into the top of the machine unless there is water in the tubs. Note: For video of how items are assembled or replaced, please see us online at: Nursery AMPS Typical Household Circuit Breaker - 15AMP to 20 AMP *Amperage is calculated on using all components of each unit at the same time. It is recommended that no more than 2 machines go on a single 15 amp breaker. It is also recommended that you plug your machine into a surge protector. This will protect your machine from any power spikes due to storms, power outages, etc (These can be bought from any electronic store). MOUNTING THE WHEELS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE MACHINE To mount your wheels, you may need 2 people. Have one person tilt the machine on one side and mount the left side wheels with the Locking wheel on the front of the machine. Now have the person carefully tilt the machine on the other side and mount the 2 remaining wheels on the right side with the locking wheel on the front of the machine. AIRLINES AND AIR STONES Hook the black Tee on the airline whips to the airlines coming from the side of the reservoir tub. Hook the other end of the airlines to the 4 air stones. 6 Nursery Assembly INSTALLING BOTTOM SHELF Lift up the front side of shelf 2, and slide the bottom, shelf 1 into place. (fig. 1.2) Then connect the hose to the base of the shelf on both trays. Then connect the power cord for the T5 lights on this Shelf. (fig. 1.3) Ensure all the T 5 s ground wires, (green wires from T5 s), are connected to the fans bolts.(fig. 1.4) HOOKING UP WATER PUMPS The Nurseries water pumps operate like a flood and drain system. When the CPU tells the pumps to turn on, the pump will pump water up the irrigation line and up the 2 way green valve in the center of the shelf. Water pumps up thru and floods the shelf. The clone domes come with holes in the bottom of the trays which allows water to seep in thru soaking the rock wool. When the pumps turns off, the water drains down back thru the green 2 way valve, all the way back down into the reservoir again. Hook all the water pumps to the appropriately numbered shelf drain hose.(fig. 1.5) Place your Drain / water mover pump right beside the PH dosing line in your reservoir.(fig. 1.6) Ensure all shelves are connected to the drain hose underneath each shelf.(fig. 1.7) Shelves 1 and 2 are shipped with these hoses dis-connected. BULB INSTALLATION Remove your T5 bulbs carefully from the cardboard tube, and slide them into the ballasts and twist till they lock in place.(fig. 1.8) Fig 1.5 Fig 1.6 Fig 1.7 Fig 1.8 6

Nursery Operation TO SET AND OPERATE YOUR T 5 LIGHTS Usually in this state of Vegetative growing, you wants your bulbs to be on 24hrs a day, or on an 18hr ON / 6hr OFF cycle. To run your T 5 lights, navigate to your T 5 BULBS CONTROL SCREEN. To run your lights 24hrs a day, simply just press the T 5 BULBS MANUAL ON button. To run off any other timed schedule, follow these next steps. Press on the START time and enter the time you would like your lights to come on at, (24hr clock), then press enter. Now, press on STOP time and enter the time you would like your lights to turn off, (24hr clock), then press enter Now you can select TIME SCHEDULE START. ADDING OR DRAINING NUTRIENTS TO YOUR NURSERIES RESERVOIR. ADDING NUTRIENTS To add nutrients to your reservoir, you will have to fill your mixing tub 2 times to get 80L s of water in your reservoir. If you have a small cart with wheels that you can place the mixing tub on, this will make it easier as the mixing tub is quite heavy when full of water. Make sure the valve is closed on your mixing tub and add 40L s of water to it. See your Nutrient chart for the appropriate amount of nutrients to add. (the chart is made for 80L s, so you will have to divide the nutrient amount in half for 40L s). Add your nutrients to your mixing tub and stir well. You need to now move the mixing tub to the front of your nursery so you can use your PH sensor to PH balance your nutrient mixture. You will need to have your sensor calibrated before this step. See PH sensor set-up section. Now you need to PH balance your mixture to a PH level of 5.4. Mix PH UP or DOWN as needed. Careful as a little does a lot, and be sure NOT TO MIX PH UP & DOWN TOGETHER. (only use one). Fig 2.1 Fig 2.2 Fig 2.3 Fig
Nursery Operation Next, have your mixing tub elevated a little higher than your Nurseries reservoir, place the drain hose from your mixing tub in the reservoir and open the valve. (fig. 2.1) Once all the nutrients are drained in, close your valve and repeat again for the remaining 40L s. DRAINING YOUR NUTRIENTS There is 2 ways to drain your nutrients. If you are NOT using your AUTO PH Control, and if you ARE using your AUTO PH Control. (fig. 2.2) DRAINING NUTES WHEN NOT IN AUTO PH CONTROL If you are NOT using your Auto PH control, simply navigate to your DRAIN PUMP screen. Set your empty mixing tub on the floor near your reservoir and ensure the drain hose valve is closed. Take the hose from your DRAIN pump and place it inside your mixing tub and make sure its valve is open. Select DRAIN PUMP ON, and run until you have drained your nutrients. DO NOT RUN YOUR PUMP DRY as it will burn it out very quickly. Select DRAIN PUMP OFF, then place the hose from your drain pump back into the reservoir. (you will most likely have to repeat these steps twice to empty the reservoir). DRAINING NUTES WHEN IN AUTO PH CONTROL If you ARE using your Auto PH, you must first turn off your Auto PH control. The reason for this is when you are in Auto PH mode, your drain pump is used as a water mover mixing the nutrients so that when PH down is dosed, it is evenly distributed. Navigate to your PH SCREEN and select SENSORS AUTO CONTROL OFF. Your Drain / Water mover pump should now not be running. Set your empty mixing tub near your reservoir and ensure the mixing tubs drain hose valve is closed. Place the hose from your Drain pump inside the mixing tub and ensure the pumps valve is open. Go to your DRAIN PUMP SCREEN, and select Drain Pump ON. Once you have emptied your reservoir select Drain Pump OFF. BE SURE NOT TO RUN YOUR PUMP DRY as it will burn out very quickly. You will most likely have to repeat these steps twice to empty the reservoir.\ Navigate back to your PH screen and select AUTO PH ON. AIR PUMP Your air pump supplies your nutrients with much needed oxygen. Basically anytime you have any water or nutrients in your reservoir, you need your air pump ON. To turn your air pump on, go to your AIR PUMP screen and select Air Pump On. The only time you would need your Air Pump off is if you have your machine running, but do not have nutrients or water in your reservoir. To turn your air pump OFF, go to your Air Pump screen and select Air Pump OFF. 11
Nursery Operation SHELF TRAYS WATERING This screen is for the amount of time the water pumps run for on each shelf. The amount of time each pump should run is determined by how many clone trays you have on each according shelf. If you go to your SHELF TRAY WATERING screen, you will see there is set points beside each Shelf number, and a grid beside it with numbers. The top row of numbers is how many clone trays you have on the shelf. Select the SET TIME beside the shelf you are wishing to use. Look at the chart and input the number of seconds and press ENTER. Example If you are using Shelf 1 with 3 clone trays, the chart says to input the SET TIME at 55 sec. Go thru and set each SET TIME to the proper number. Note If you add or remove clone trays, you WILL have to adjust this SET TIME so you do not overfill, or under-fill the shelf. SHELVES 4 1 WATER CONTROL You basically have 4 options on how much you want each shelf to be watered. 2 cycles a day 1 cycle a day 1 cycle every 2 days 1 cycle every 3 days First, select the START TIME and enter the time of day you would like the watering cycle to start, and press ENTER. Then select the cycle you wish to run. If you wish to start a manual water cycle, select MANUAL START. If you wish to turn off your watering cycle, select ALL CONTROL OFF. SENSOR SET-UP To get started on your sensor setup, you must first mount and connect your nurseries sensor board. To mount your sensor board, locate the Velcro strip on the inside right panel. Press the sensor board to the Velcro and then locate the sensor boards labeled connector at the top right corner in the grow chamber and connect the cable from the sensor board. (fig ) If you do not have glass doors, you can mount your sensor board with bolts to the 4 mounting holes on the top of the right door. 12
Nursery Sensor Setup SETTING UP YOUR AIR TEMP / RH SENSOR Locate your Air temp and RH sensor and remove it from the plastic bag. Connect the cable to the color coded socket on the sensor board. Mount the sensor with the suction cup provided to the right wall beside the top fan. (fig. 3.1) Navigate to the AIR TEMP / RH SCREEN. Now select Air Temp / RH Sensor ON. Your sensor should now be reading the air temp and relative humidity levels. You can toggle between C or F as your display of temperature. SETTING UP YOUR PH SENSOR First you must mount your PH down bottle on the back of your machine. Using the 2 bolts provided, mount the PH bottle holder and PH down bottle and to the back of your machine just below the green PH doser. (fig. 3.2) Remove the cap and seal from your PH down bottle, and place the cap with a hole in it on the bottle. Now place the loose PH dosing hose into your PH down bottle all the way inside the bottle thru the hole in the cap. Priming your PH dosing lines. Locate the PH dosing line that goes to your reservoir. Get a small cup and place the dosing hose inside. Navigate to your PH screen and press and hold the PRIME PH DOSE PUMP LINE until PH down starts to drip into the cup. Place the PH dosing line into the small suction cup holder in your reservoir. Calibrating your PH sensor Locate your PH sensor and remove from the plastic bag. Connect your sensors cable to the color coded socket on your sensor board. Navigate to your PH screen and press SENSOR SET-UP. Press PH SENSOR ON. Prepare 3 cups now for calibrating. One cup of water, one cup of PH # 4, and one cup of PH # 7. Remove the probes storage bottle, (keep for any time you need to store your sensor). Place the sensor in the cup of water, then dry it off with a dry soft cloth. Place the reservoirs ground wire (the end with the suction cup), and the PH sensor into the cup of PH # 4, stir and let it stand for 2 minutes. Now press CALIBRATE PROBE in PH# 4. Rinse of the sensor in water, then dry it off with a dry soft cloth. 13
Nursery Sensor Setup Place the reservoirs ground wire (the end with the suction cup), and the PH sensor into the cup of PH # 7, stir and let sit for 2 minutes. Now press CALIBRATE PROBE in PH # 7. Rinse off your sensor in water and mount your PH probe in your reservoir. Mount your sensor on the right side of your reservoir near the front on a 45 angle with the suction cup provided. Make sure the end of the probe is about 1 cm form the bottom of the reservoir.(fig. 3.3) Note Do not let the probe on your PH sensor dry out. It will void the sensor. Do not mount in your machine until you have water or nutrients in the reservoir. If not in use, place the probes storage bottle with storage solution in it back on the sensor. SETTING UP YOUR EC / TDS / WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR Locate your EC / TDS / Water Temp sensor and remove from the plastic bag. Plug your sensors cable into the color coded socket on the sensor board. Prepare one cup of water, and one cup of TDS 1000 solution. Navigate to your EC / TDS SCREEN, and press EC / TDS / WATER TEMP SENSOR ON. Remove the protective cap from the sensor and rinse it off in the cup of water. Dry it off with a dry soft cloth. Place the reservoirs ground wire (the end with the suction cup), and the EC/TDS sensor in the cup of TDS 100 solution, stir, and let sit for 2 minutes. Now press the CALIBRATE PROBE IN 1000 ppm. Rinse your sensor off in water then dry it off with a clean dry cloth. You can now mount your sensor with the suction cup provided. Mount it in the reservoir on the right side near the front on a 45. Make sure the end of the probe is about 1cm from the bottom of the reservoir. MOUNTING YOUR RESERVOIRS GROUND WIRE Your reservoir needs to be grounded to keep the sensors reading stabilized. You will notice a green ground wire with a small suction cup on the end of it. Mount the suction cup end of this wire in between your PH and EC / TDS sensor. As close as possible. (fig 3.3). Also, ensure that all the ground wires from your T 5 lights are connected to one of the bolts on your fans. (fig. 1.4) Fig 3.1 Fig 3.2 Fig
Maintaining Your Machine It is extremely important to keep your machine clean and sterile in order to prevent mold, fungus, insects and dis ease from invading and damaging your crop. We recommend that the following precautions be taken to minimize the chance of problems: Always wash your hands with disinfectant soap. Try to wear freshly laundered clothes. In between crop cycles wash the walls and tubs with a 10% bleach solution. Run a 10% bleach solution through your irrigation lines. You can do this by selecting MANUAL CYCLE START for each shelf. It is recommended that you do this at least 3 times with the bleach solution, and then one final time with fresh water. Flush the lines thoroughly with fresh water. 15
