Look at Shut-Off pressure 4. Look at temperature 5. Then go to P/T selection Chart (Graph on Page 3) 6. Choose Impeller Material 7. Then Find Pump Construction Code (0X, 0R, etc.) 8. Select seal arrangement (pack, seal, etc.) 9. Find Pump Construction Code (001, BK3, ABC, etc.) 10. Select Flange Rating and Orientation 11. Viton fluoroelastomer ( V ) is provided as a special version <180 0 C. (356 0 F.) Buna is good for temperatures <110 0 C. (230 0 F.) EDPM is used for temperatures <200 0 C. (392 0 F.) EDPM is not resistant to mineral oils or other hydrocarbon liquids. Viton should be used for hydrocarbon liquids. Mechanical Seals All listed mechanical seals are furnished with EDPM Elastomers suitable for hot water, diluted acids and hardly inflammable hydraulic liquids.
