18 PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION Nothing appears in the display even when the power is turned on. Low Battery Symbol appears. Device operation time is inconsistent. No reading after measurement. Unusual blood pressure results. Unusual heart rate results. Power switches off automatically. During measurement, air re-inflates. 16 Batteries are drained. Batteries are improperly installed. Batteries are drained. In colder temperatures batteries have weaker electrical charges. Different battery brands have different life spans. Batteries are drained. Perhaps the cuff was improperly positioned. Blood pressure naturally varies throughout the day. Body movement during device use. Measuring shortly after exercise or exposure to the outdoors. More than 2 minutes have passed since last operation. It could be a normal action if the user s blood pressure is higher than the initial pressure value, the device automatically pumps to a higher pressure by 40 mmhg each time. The arm cuff is not fastened properly. Replace all batteries with new ones. Reinsert batteries in the correct position. Replace all batteries with new ones. Use the device in a warmer setting. Use Alkaline batteries and replace all batteries at the same time with same brand batteries. Replace all batteries with new ones. Adjust patient and arm cuff for measurement. Rest a while, relax and measure again. Refrain from moving during measurement. Do not take measurements after exercise or coming back from the outdoors. Push the power button again, and then begin measure again. Relax, and try to take a measurement again. Check that the arm cuff is fastened properly and retake the measurement.

The arm cuff is too loose. The arm cuff is broken. Replace all batteries with new ones. Reinsert batteries in the correct position. Reinsert the air connector tightly in the socket. Replace the cuff with a new one. Rest for 30 minutes and take the mesurement again. If it happens more than 3 times, contact your doctor. Wrap the cuff tightly Replace the cuff with a new one. ERR CODE MEANING CORRECTIVE ACTION E-1 Weak signal or pressure change suddenly E-2 External strong disturbance - Wrap the cuff properly. - Remeasure correctly. - When near cell phone or other high radiant device, the measurements will not be accurate. - Keep quiet and no talking when measuring. E-3 Inflation fault. - Wrap the cuff properly and take measurment again. - Make sure that the air connector is plugged correctly. E-5 Abnormal Blood pressure Relax for 30 minutes and take a measurement again. If E-5 appears again more than 3 times, contact your doctor. Low batterie Replace all batteries with new ones. 17
