1 NYP Interior Design Guidelines for Pantries Concepts for coordinating equipment, accessories and storage Space program, equipment/accessory selections to be reviewed by the project team including but not limited to Strategic Sourcing, Clinical Technology Projects, Bio Med, EVS, Facilities Operations To be used in coordination with the NYP Interior Guidelines Specifier is responsible for compliance and accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local fire/life safety codes, standards and regulations

2 PANTRY OPTIONS Under six foot NOTE Microwaves placed in upper cabinets is considered non standard and cannot be used in patient facing areas. This locations is also discouraged in staff areas due to ADA requirements and safety concerns. GUIDELINES Notes Appliances and accessories to be specified to meet regulatory and/or functional program Cabinets Steelcase Folio or Custom Millwork HPL, always with 3mm banding on all exposed edges MR or FR MDF substrate as required Countertops and back and side splashes with full coves in Corian, grades a, b or c 6 wall base No storage permitted under the sink Fillers to accommodate handle depths that can conflict with side walls Soft close glides and hinges ADA height microwave and accessories Energy Star appliances Coffee machines and supplies are purchased and maintained by the individual department 2
