2 Safe Operation Practices General Operation.Read, understand, and follow all instructions in the manual and on the machine before starting. Keep this manual in a safe place for further and regular reference and for ordering replacement parts..only allow trained personnel familiar with the instructions to operate the machine. Be sure to understand all controls and how to stop the machine quickly..do not put your hands near moving parts..remove all obstacles, which may interfere with the machine functions..clear the work area of items such as electrical wires, gloves, knives, etc..be sure that everyone else is clear of your work area before operating the machine..do not sit nor stand on the machine..be sure turn off the machine after your work is finished. Never leave a running machine unattended..always disconnect and wait until the machine has cooled before doing any maintenance..do not wear loose fitting clothes or jewelry as they may get caught in moving parts of the machine..please wear appropriate shoes and clothes to avoid injury caused by moving the machine or objects falling from the machine..never position the machine on an incline more than 30 degrees, it may tip over and hurt someone seriously. Your responsibility This machine should only be operated by personal who can read, understand and respect warnings and instructions regarding this machine in the owners manual.

4 1.1 Precautions of transportation, installation and packing Preparations before installation Power requirement: Voltage: Can be set suited to location and needs Current: 7.7kW Frequency: 50/60 Hz Phase: 3ψ Installation requirement: Prevent to install the machine in the environment full of dust and corrosive atmosphere with acid and alkali Prevent to install the machine in the environment with abnormal vibration Prevent to install the machine under direct sunlight or near vapor. Such will affect its vacuum degree The ground circuit should be independently or parallel Don t install the machine in the potentially explosive atmosphere Installation space includes the requirement of the operator and machine Length Width Height = 2.75 x 3 x 2.75 M
5 1.1.2 Preparations during transportation: The weight of this machine is 780 kg, so that the loading capacity of any handling device is recommended to be more than 1500 kg. If you are not sure of the safe loading capacity, please contact the manufacturer for help with such handling device.
6 It s important to check the balance carefully in advance of moving or placement The work of lifting or by handling should be carried out by means of qualified operator During machine handling and positioning, keep clear of the of the machine Before handling, be sure that there are no people or barriers obstructing the machine movement. Clear any object prior to movement Machine transportation packaging: Packing material: The base is wood Packing sequence: Put the wood base on the ground. Then, put the machine on it. Fix the machine foot with the wood base, pack the machine with plastic film and put vibration-absorbing board around the machine Precautions before and after machine starting: Precautions before machine starting Before using this machine, read and understand the contents of this manual and the control interface entirely Check that voltage and power connections are appropriate Confirm that the electric power and rating is sufficient Check that all the safety related devices are normal, and that the Vacuum Tumbler is clear of obstructions Visual check that all mechanical and electric parts are normal, and check that the surrounding environment is clean Power On Sequence: Turn on the factory power Turn on the main switch of the machine.
7 1.2.2 Precautions after machine starting: Confirm that the display is correct Confirm that the sound coming from pump running is normal (refer to clause ) Wear safety shoes, protective clothes and mask to ensure safety and hygiene of the operator. Chapter 2:Overall description of the machine 2.1 Features of the machine: The machine main body is made of stainless steel for great endurance and easy washdown The machine uses high-powered vacuum pump (imported from Europe) with water-resistant design The machine is fitted with easily-recalled memory functions and a user-friendly display It is designed for large processing operations & food industry factories The machine main body is made of stainless steel, water-proof, heat-proof, easy cleaning, loading entrance is a specialized design. 2.2 Function of the machine: Repeat tumbling, mixing product with sauce completely, enhancing the tenderness of product Bulk marination and pickling Automatically, not by manual. 2.3 Proper products for this machine: Fresh meat, seafood, agricultural products, prepared food, pickles, and powdery products etc.
8 2.4 Usage life of the machine: Except the consumable parts, the machine s intended usage life is 10 years month limited warranty for maintenance, parts, and service after shipping. The date is calculated from the end of installation After the warranty, XtraVac will be happy to assist with any parts or service Warranty maintenance service doesn t include consumable parts and vacuum oil If there is any abnormal or unsafe situation during the machine warranty period, please inform XtraVac. When the machine starts running, this screen would read ON. B- Operation Screen: This screen indicates each setting s current value. And the current running status of the machine. C- Automatic/Manual: Switch to manual function or Automatic function D- Tumbling Time: The PV is present value, SV is the setting value. Touch the SV button to bring up the value keypad if the value is to be changed. (unit: min) E- Resting Time: The PV is present value, SV is the setting value. Touch the SV button to bring up the value keypad if the value is to be changed. (unit: min)
12 F-Total Time: The PV is presenting value, SV is the setting value. Touch the SV button to bring up the value keypad if the value is to be changed. (unit: min) G-Tumbling Rate: The PV is presenting value, SV is the setting value. Touch the SV button to bring up the value keypad if the value is to be changed. Maximum 60 Hz H- Switch to Abnormal screen I- Switch to Surveillance screen J- Switch to Index screen K- Vacuum Switch: When it is OFF, touch to start the vacuum pump. L- Vacuum Hold: Touch to hold the vacuum pressure of the drum when total time is achieved. M-Start: When it reads ON, the vacuum tumbler runs automatically. When it reads OFF, the vacuum tumbler runs in semi function.
13 3.3 Touch the Surveillance Screen would enter this screen (Picture 4) Stop Operating Frequency Switching Time # #. # # S Surveillance Screen Done Evacuation Time # # # # S Vacuum Pressure Brake OFF Vacuum Hold Pump OFF F1 F2 F3 F4 Index Screen Operation Screen Abnormal Screen Converter OFF SYS (Picture 4) A- Stop: When the machine stops running, this screen would read Stop. When the machine starts running, this screen would read ON. B- Switch to Surveillance screen C- Operating: It displays the present progress of vacuum tumbling. D- Done: After all works are finished, touch it to reset. E- Vacuum Pressure: When the vacuum pressure is achieved, it will read ON. F- Brake: When the motor of vacuum tumbler runs, it would read ON. G- Vacuum Hold: Touch it to hold tha vacuum pressure after the cycle is finished. It would read ON. H- Vacuum Pump: When the vacuum pump runs, it will read ON. I- Converter: It reads ON when Converter is running, and OFF when it is not. J- Switch to Index screen. K- Switch to Operation Screen L- Switch to Abnormal Screen M- Frequency Switching Time: When the Tumbling time is achieved, it will work. The vacuum drum will slowly rotate. N- Evacuation Time: touch it could change the evacuation time.
14 3.4 Touch the Abnormal Screen and will go into this screen (Picture 5) Tumbler Vacuum Motor Index Screen Abnormal Screen Operation Screen Done Surveillance Screen F1 F2 F3 F4 SYS (Picture 5) A-Switch to the Abnormal Screen. B- Tumbler: If the motor of tumbler is abnormal, it would read abnormal and blink. Then the machine stops working. C- Vacuum Motor: If the vacuum pump is abnormal, it would read abnormal and blink. Then the machine stops working. D- Done: To solve the machine problems, to touch the Done key to stop the current cycle. E- Switch to the Index Screen. F- Switch to the Operation Screen. G- Switch to Surveillance Screen Sequence of trial run: Connect the power. Turn the power switch on. Caution, remember to ground the machine It will go into the main screen (Picture 2), switch it into the Operation Screen
15 (Picture 3) Trial vacuum pump run: When the Start key (M) is off on the Operation Screen (Picture 3), touch ON the Vacuum Switch key (K) and the vacuum pump will run. If the pump sounds smooth, it s rotating clockwise. If there is abnormal noise, it s rotating counterclockwise, turn off the machine immediately. Then, change the power wires w1 v1. (Page 25-M1) Precaution: After the trial, turn off the vacuum pump.
16 Chapter 4:Instructions of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting 4.1. Operation sequence Loading sequence: Make sure to connect the power line and ground line properly. Pump is properly run, and all pipes are connected. Open the Air tightness cover (Page19-1), Press the Loading button (Page ), the rotating speed can be adjusted by the Tumbling Rate key (G) on the Operation Screen (Picture 3) for modification Running sequence: Touch the Start Key (M) on the Operation Screen (Picture 3), the vacuum drum starts working, the rotating speed can be adjusted by the Tumbling Rate Key (G) on the Operation Screen (Picture 3) for modification Unloading sequence: After finishing the rotating of the vacuum drum, it will be evacuated. (The Vacuum Hold key on the Operation Screen (Picture 4) reads ON, the vacuum pressure on the vacuum drum remains.) Touch OFF the Start key of the Operation Screen (Picture 3), it will read OFF and will be in the SEMI function mode. Open the Air tightness Cover (Page 19-1), press the Unloading button (Page ) for the product unloading Adjust the rotating speed: Enter to the Operation Screen (Picture 3) and touch the SV of the Tumbling Rate; it will present the value keypad for choice of the value. It can increase or reduce the rotating speed when the vacuum drum is rotating. 4.2 Maintenance Cleaning of the drum: After running, use water to clean inside the drum and wipe with dry cloth Cleaning of the filter: Check the water of the filter if it is filled on schedule. If it is
17 over two-thirds of the amount, pour out the water. Before taking off the filter, please press the pressure exhaust button (Page19-5-3) first Vacuum oil replacement Recommended vacuum oil: BP Engergol RC100, Esso Nuto H100, Mobil Rarus Drain the previous oil completely before filling new oil Oil capacity should be kept at least two-thirds of total amount Change the oil of the vacuum pump for every 300 hours. Also check the oil level from oil sight glass every week. Oil capacity should be kept at least two-thirds of total amount. If the oil is dirty, please replace it immediately Detail drawing of the oil pump 1. air release hole 2. oil filling hole 3. oil sight glass 4. oil draining hole
