2 We started this journey more than a decade ago. A group of hardworking people with a new technology that no one had ever seen. Our thought was: If we stopped dictating the safety products people used, and started working one-on-one with people to develop the safety product they actually need well, we d have something pretty unique for this industry. Not to mention, we d be able to change the conversation from price and product to is this the right PPE to effectively reduce injuries and protect our people? It was possible, but it wasn t simple. We set off to work with people, side-by-side, day after day to experience the kind of dangers and hazards they encountered. From there we grew and expanded our hand safety line one industry at a time with our team of safety advisors hitting worksites and manufacturing floors, working handin-hand with their workers, listening to their input, and giving them the protection they deserve. 7 COOLING ZONES Get in the Zone You ve probably seen people pour water over their head to cool off, but there is actually more to this practice than just odd behavior. The body contains key cooling zones located on the head, neck and wrist to name a few When cold water, ice or a cooling mechanism is applied to these areas, the body feels more immediate cooling relief compared to what the other areas of the body provide ColdRush was designed to be applied to these key cooling zones, making you feel more cool and comfortable in high heat environments Call MY.ARMOR or visit 7

8 The Technology Behind Being Cool. What s the secret behind our innovative, non-drip ColdRush material? Our evapora fabric technology quickly absorbs moisture up to six times its weight, retains it, and allows it to slowly and naturally evaporate, which produces a cooling effect on the skin for hours. The result is cooler and more comfortable workers. Once in contact with the skin, ColdRush continually wicks perspiration away and stores it in microcavity moisture reservoirs, which provide up to four hours of active cooling. When the fabric dries out, simply wet it again to reactivate the cooling effect. At the end of the day, simply throw ColdRush in the washer and get ready to use it again. How ColdRush Works: Apply water to evapora material. Material absorbs and retains moisture. Retained moisture and air flow provide continuous cooling action when in contact with skin surface. 9 When Work Gets Too Hot... Every year thousands of workers are affected by heat-related illnesses. Heat related illness occurs when the body cannot cool itself enough to maintain a healthy temperature. When the body is unable to cool itself by sweating, several heat-induced illnesses can occur including heat cramps, heat exhaustion and even heat stroke. Working in a hot environment not only increases the risk of heat-related conditions, but also increases the risk of workplace accidents which are costly not only in terms of workplace recordables, but also to the health of those affected. In order to prevent heat-related illness, OSHA recommends the following: Stay Hydrated by drinking plenty of water even if you re not thirsty. Avoid alcohol, caffeine and high sugar drinks that contribute to dehydration. Stay cool by avoiding direct sunlight, wearing lightweight, light-colored clothing, and resting in the shade. Personal cooling products, in combination with these best practices, will help keep employees cool, comfortable and productive.
