1 ESI, INC. OF TENNESSEE RENTAL EQUIPMENT Deaerator Description The deaerator, built in 1996, is a spray-type deaerating feedwater heater and storage tank with stainless steel internals. The deaerator is sized to provide feedwater for a 72,000 pph rental boiler plus blowdown. The deaerating heater and storage tank is constructed in compliance with the Heat Exchanger Institute s (HEI) Standards and Typical Specifications for Deaerators, 1992, for 50 psig design pressure. The deaerator has been 100% x-rayed during fabrication to ensure high-quality construction. The storage tank is manufactured and stamped per ASME Code, Section VIII, Division 1, and is registered with the National Board. After welding, the heater and storage tank shells were stress-relieved through Post Weld Heat Treatment. The PWHT was performed at a temperature of F as recommended by the ASME code. OF TENNESSEE RENTAL EQUIPMENT Boiler Feed Pumps Description The boiler feedwater pumps installed on the deaerator skid consist of two KSB Model Movi 50/6 ring section, multistage boiler feedwater pumps. The pumps are mounted on the deaerator skid base. Each pump is driven by a 100 hp, 3600 rpm, 480 volt, 1.15 SF, high-efficiency motor with TEFC enclosure, hostile duty. A manual switch is provided on the deaerator skid to manually start the standby feedwater pump in the event of a primary feedwater pump failure. A complete electrical distribution system is included, complete with disconnects, starters, lighting, transformers, and switches.

4 ESI, INC. OF TENNESSEE RENTAL EQUIPMENT Chemical Feed Systems Chemical feed systems, each designed and built in 1996, are as follows. Deaerator System System is provided for the injection of oxygen scavenging chemicals into the deaerator. This system s components include: One 50-gallon stainless steel tank. One agitator complete with 304 stainless steel shaft and propeller. Two, 100% capacity, Neptune Model 525-A-N3 simplex diaphragm pumps, or equal, each capable of supplying 7.0 gph at 100 psig continuously. Each pump has an internal relief valve for pump protection. All required valves, piping, and miscellaneous supports. Boiler System System is provided for the injection of boiler water treatment chemicals into the boiler feedwater supply line to the boiler. This system s components include: One 50-gallon stainless steel tank. One agitator complete with 304 stainless steel shaft and propeller. Two, 100% capacity, Neptune Model 525-A-N3 simplex diaphragm pumps, or equal, each capable of supplying 6.7 gph at 350 psig continuously. The pumps are identical to the ones detailed above. All required valves, piping, and miscellaneous supports.
