To do this a thermal screen is created in front of a glazed surface, which separates the cold surface from the indoor environment. At the same time air flow prevents condensation of air humidity on the surface. The unit is available with a fan assisted heater or stand alone using natural convection to circulate the air heated by the water based heat exchange. PTHF ACOUSTICS It is necessary to take into account the acoustic characteristics of the trench heater and the environment in which it will be used. The recommended upper limit for a day use room is 40 db(a), the limit for a night use or relaxation room is lowered to 30 db(a), the limit for offices is 50 db(a). INTEGRATED CONTROLS To ensure comfortable and economical operation with a low noise level our fan assisted trench heaters are controlled with a digital thermostat that can be incorporated into building management systems (BMS). The low volume of water in the heat exchangers secures fast warming to operating temperature. COUNTERACTING DOWN DRAUGHTS & CONDENSATION APPLICATIONS Our Trench Heaters are designed for use in office buildings, commercial centres and public spaces. They are also suited to domestic use for heating living rooms, corridors, halls and conservatories. 4 OUR CONTROLS & OPTIONS FAN ASSISTED & NATURAL CONVECTION THERMOSTATS RTD201 FAN ASSISTED FAN ASSISTED CONTROL FUNCTIONS Z-RT001 NATURAL CON. CONTROLS Controls and a power supply are required for trench heaters to secure their correct function. The temperature in the room is assessed by a room thermostat which controls the fan. The flow of heating through the heat exchanger is controlled via an electrothermal actuator. The entire circuit functions on the basis of safe voltage of 24 V DC. 5 LINEAR & TRANSVERSE GRILLE OPTIONS LINEAR GRILLE (ALUMINIUM) Linear grilles can be extended buy linking pieces together. Available in Aluminium Satin, Aluminium Bronze and Aluminium Black. Our durable trench heater grilles are available in either transverse, roll-up transverse or linear designs. They come in a variety of colours and materials including anodized aluminium, stainless steel, beech or oak. TRANSVERSE ROLL-UP GRILLE (ALUMINIUM) Designed for easy installation and maintenance with single lengths up to 6500 mm. Available in Aluminium Satin, Aluminium Bronze and Aluminium Black. LEDGE FRAMES The standard J ledge frame is 4.2 mm wide. The optional L ledge frame in 15 mm wide and can be used to cover an expansion gap up to 10 mm. TRANSVERSE ROLL-UP GRILLE (STAINLESS STEEL) Stainless Steel offers a robust grille with single lengths up to 3000 mm. A VARIETY OF COLOURS & STYLES ARE AVAILABLE TRANSVERSE ROLL-UP GRILLE (WOODEN) Designed for easy installation and maintenance with single lengths up to 6500 mm.
