Remove security screw on left side of humidistat cover.. Open up by pulling on the left side of humidistat. TO OPEN HUMDSTAT COVER 1 [- ~ HUMDSTAT NSTALLATON (ROOM HUMDSTAT) J ~ A) Location: 1- Shouldn>t be installed on outside wall. 2- Must be installed away from any heat source. 3- Shouldn>t be affected by direct sun radiation. 4- Nothing must restrain vertical air circulation to the humidistat. B) nstallation: 1- Pull out cables 6" out of the wall. 2- Wall sulface must be flat and clean. 3- Separate the humidistat and the base by pulling cover on the left side (same as the security screw.) nsert cable in the central hole of the base. 2 HUMDSTAT NSTALLATON (DUCT HUMDSTAT) 1. Make a hole 1" dia. in the duct. 2. Remove the right screw on the thermostat base and slack the left one a couple ofturn. 3. The electrical box must be installed horizontally to install the humidity sensor correctly in the flow. 4. Screw the electrical box on the duct. 5. Pull the wires through a knock out hole in the electrical box and then through the holeof the base.. Reinstall the base and screw it back into place. Connect the wires as per wiring diagram. 3 CALBRATON OF THE HUMDSTAT The humidistat comes precalibrated from the factory.. f it needs to be recalibrated in the field, this is done using the AUTOCAL button. To calibrate the humidistat: Read the humidity with a precision hygrometer. Adjust the setpoint to humidity reading. Press the autocal button until the light comes on (look through the slots on the left side of the humidistat. That should take 8 seconds. Release the button. The humidistat is calibrated. See dimensions drawing for the position of the AUTOCAL button ( do not open the cover; you can feel the button by pressing on the cover. ) SENSOR DEFECT The sensor is the most sensitive part of the transmitter, and also the most exposed. n the case of sensor failure, the sensor would normally return a 0% humidity reading. The H200 has an internal failure detection system that will automatically return 120% signal if the sensor is defective. This will assure a fail safe operation in all situations. Please read the specification carefully. Viconics will assume no warranty for misuse of the product.
