2 INTRODUCTION Dear customer, thank you for your trust and purchase of our product Additional flue gas draught fan. We wish it serves you reliably for a long time. Reliable and correct function of this device is related to its operation and installation therefore it is necessary to read this user manual. Additional flue gas draught fan is sometimes required to compensate for uneven or insufficient chimney draft for combustion in that event that your chimney does not meet the required values of minimum diameter and the minimum height. The correct dimension of the flue is necessary for correct boiler operation, boiler combustion, output and life time are dependent on flue diameter. 2

3 TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION Additional flue gas draught fan compensates insufficient or uneven chimney draught during the combustion process. It also ensures more effective the flow of flue gases. It is also useful during the time of loading when the boiler door are open. The additional flue draught fan prevents the escape of smoke from the boiler into the boiler room. The unit is designed to evenly exhaust the flue gases from the boiler. This can save fuel and ensure that combustion in the boiler is efficient. The body of additional draught is welded from sheet of 2 or 3 mm thickness. Direction of flue gases flow indicates the arrow on the side of the body. Input connection with 152 mm diameter inside is connection to boiler chimney draught outlet with diameter 150 mm. Output connection with 149 mm diameter inside is connection to flue connection. Exhaust fan is connected to the flange by 4 mm plate. Radial impeller is directly connected to electromotor shaft. Additional exhaust fan is connected to the flange, also with radial impeller. This part is connected by nuts and bolts to the additional flue gas draught body. PACKING Additional flue gas draught with ventilator on the unit body is delivered in cardboard box. If the cardboard box is damaged, please check the radial impeller which could be damaged during the transport. The damage must be noted to the transport company. 4 INSTALLATION Only a competent person with valid training for installation and assembly of the heat technology devices can install the additional flue gas draught fan. The installation requires an appropriate project that is in line with the valid conditions and this instruction manual. ATTENTION: The producer takes no responsibility for damages caused by wrong connection or operation! To install the unit it is necessary to loosen the connecting accessories. With the connecting accessories the ventilator fixed to the flange and radial impeller. Then it is also necessary to turn ventilator into the correct position and again fixed it with the connection accessories. Addition flue gas draught fan is necessary to placed on output part of chimney draught, before the connection to the fittings up take, or to through part of the fittings up take. Arrow on the side of unit body pointed to direction of flue gases flow from the boiler to the fittings up take. This is necessary to meet by installation. The unit is possible to install in the positions according to following diagrams. The direction of flue gases pointed by arrow on pictures must be the same with destination of flow indicated by arrow on the additional flue gas draught body. Installation conditions: 1. diameter of the chimney draught has to be smaller than diameter of the additional flue gas draught input connection, 2. diameter of the fittings up take has to be bigger than diameter of the chimney draught and also bigger than diameter of the additional flue gas draught output connection. ATTENTION: The installation conditions have to be followed in the case that the unit is placed in through part of the fittings up take. Input connection diameter has to be mounted on smaller diameter and output connection has to be installed to bigger diameter. 4

5 CONNECTION TO THE CABLING OF BOILER ATTACK DP/DPX/SLX Cabling of additional flue gas draught fan is connected to the existing cabling of the boiler. At first it is necessary to remove the rear cover of the control panel. Then drill a hole with 9 mm diameter in bottom plate. The hole needs to be 40 mm from back wall and 50 mm from the side. The hole is for the starting capacitor. After that fix the starting capacitor with mat and nut, which are included in packing of additional flue gas draught cabling. Steps for cabling connection: the boiler fan, originally connected to terminals 10, 11 and 12, connect to extension terminal panel of additional flue gas draught according to electrical scheme, free black wire from the terminal panel of the additional flue gas draught connect to the boiler terminal number 10, free blue wire from the terminal panel of the additional flue gas draught connect to the boiler terminal number 11, free green-yellow wire from the terminal panel of the additional flue gas draught connect to the boiler terminal number 12, red silicone cable with free wires and plastic covers drag through one of the holes in the back plate of control panel, on the outside part of the cable put the black plastic reducer and insert it in the hole (before this operation it is necessary to disconnect the necessary cables from the extension terminal panel, then connect these cables again), the two red wires with plastic covers ended connect to the capacitor s contacts, the extension terminal panel of additional flue gas draught fix with the screws to bottom plate of cover. MAINTENANCE Once a year: leak test, clean the radial impeller and whole place inside, test of ventilator function. 5
