Using the indicator lights you can also display the status of your electric towel-dryer radiator. STARTING UP THE ELECTRIC TOWEL-DRYER RADIATOR To start-up the electric toweldryer radiator, press the power button on the left side of the fan. If the remote control is not detected, the towel-dryer radiator will operate in Comfort mode at 21 C. The coil indicator shows red if the electric towel-dryer radiator is heating. This indicator is green when the electric towel-dryer radiator is on but not heating. It is off if the electric towel-dryer is stopped (but still powered up). START UP THE FAN To start up the fan press the fan button on the left side of the fan. Your remote control shows Radiator boost. It will run for 15 minutes. The FILTER indicator shows orange when the filter needs cleaning (see page 41). 40

Advice MAINTENANCE The towel-dryer radiator should be dusted twice a year, to maintain its performance (with a soft cloth or the brush fitting of a vacuum cleaner). First turn off the heating by pressing and holding the power button (for about 4 seconds) and allowing it to cool down. Never use abrasive or solvent products. CLEANING THE FAN - Clean the air intake and outlet grilles with a vacuum cleaner. - The fan has a dust filter, which if it becomes clogged, can cause the fan to shut down (orange indicator light on at the bottom of the electric towel-dryer radiator). Clean the filter regularly for optimum use. CLEANING THE FILTER When the filter needs cleaning, the remote control shows: CLEAN FILTER Clean the filter following the instructions printed on the fan. Orange indicator light. Turn off the towel dryer. Pull out the filter from behind the fan. Clean the filter. Replace the filter. Wait 10 minutes before restarting the electric toweldryer radiator. Turn on the electric towel-dryer radiator. 41

IN THE EVENT OF A PROBLEM PROBLEM FOUND The electric towel-dryer radiator is not heating. CARRY OUT CHECK - Check that the installation's circuit-breakers are engaged, or that the load-shedder (if you have one) has not cut power to the electric towel-dryer radiator. - Check the ambient temperature of the room: if too high, the electric towel-dryer radiator will not heat up. The electric towel-dryer radiator - Increase the temperature by pressing the + key. is not warming the bathroom enough. - If the temperature setting is at maximum (28 C), carry out the following checks: Check if there is another heating appliance in the room. Make sure your electric towel-dryer radiator is only heating the room itself. (door closed). Check the electric towel-dryer radiator power supply. Check whether the power of your electric towel-dryer radiator is suited to the size of your room (we recommend 110W / m2 on average). The electric towel-dryer radiator is heating constantly. - Check that the electric towel-dryer radiator is not placed in a draught (door open nearby) or that the temperature setting has been altered. - There may be an issue with the mains supply. In the event of a problem (thermostat stuck, etc.), turn off the power to the electric towel-dryer radiator (fuse, circuit-breaker) for about 10 minutes, then turn it on again. - - If this event happens frequently, check the power supply with your energy company. The electric towel-dryer radiator is very hot to touch. It is normal for the electric towel-dryer radiator to be hot when it is operating, the maximum surface temperature is limited as specified in the NF standard Electricity Performance. If you think that your electric towel-dryer radiator is still too hot, however, check that the power is suitable for the size of your room (we recommend 110W / m2) and that the electric towel-dryer radiator is not in a draught that could affect its setting. The fan stops prematurely. Check that the air intake and outlet grilles are not blocked. If they are, then clean them (see Maintenance section). Check that the room temperature is not too high. If it is, then it is normal for the fan to shut down. Just wait for the ambient temperature to fall before using the fan again. If your home is at an altitude of more than 1000m, the air is less dense, so this could cause the room temperature to rise more quickly. This problem could therefore recur (without a serious impact on the lifespan of the components of the appliance). In all cases, in order to restart the electric towel-dryer radiator, proceed as follows: Turn off heating (long press of about 4 seconds on the Power button ). Wait at least 10 minutes. Restart the heating (press the Power button ). 42

PROBLEM FOUND The remote control recognition procedure does not work. The indicator light flashes. Changing the remote control: pairing the remote control again. The electric towel-dryer radiator is not heating. The remote control shows a message. CARRY OUT CHECK - You inserted the battery while you were too far away from your electric towel-dryer radiator. The remote control screen goes to stand-by: press a key to activate the remote control. Procedure for recognizing the remote control starts. - - The procedure must be carried out within 10 minutes of powering up the electric towel-dryer radiator. The remote control may be too far from the electric towel-dryer radiator. The electric towel-dryer radiator is switched off. To access parameter settings for pairing the remote control again, press Menu. Press on < or > to display PARAMETERS. Press on < or > to display NEW PAIRING Confirm again when YES is displayed. Pairing has worked: The remote control shows ON. Pairing has not worked: the remote control shows OFF: contact the manufacturer's after-sales service. For the following displays, contact the manufacturer's after-sales service: The indicator light flashes. If the following is displayed, replace the battery (type CR2430). The electric towel-dryer radiator is not heating. The remote control shows a message. The fan does not start up. The electric towel-dryer radiator is in Frost-free mode. Your programming unit is in Frost-free mode and has therefore sent the Frost-free command to your appliance, connected via the Pilot wire. The filter must be clogged. The remote control should display "Clean filter". See page

PROBLEM FOUND The electric towel-dryer radiator is not heating. The remote control shows a message. CARRY OUT CHECK When there is a power cut, or the electric towel-dryer is turned off, this message appears on your remote control. See page 40 for instructions on restarting your electric towel-dryer radiator. The fan stops during the Shower cycle. The upper and lower parts of the electric towel-dryer radiator are cooler than the rest of the appliance. Traces of dirt appear on the wall around the electric towel-dryer. The electric towel-dryer radiator makes a continuous vibrating noise while heating. The fan operates for at least 10 minutes when the Shower cycle is activated. It may then stop if the room temperature reaches 24 C. The fan restarts to maintain this room temperature. - The upper elements are not filled completely, to allow expansion of the thermodynamic fluid. They heat up only through conduction. - The lower elements carry the returning fluid after it has transmitted its heat. In a polluted environment, dirt may appear on the air outlets of the appliance or on the wall. This is linked to poor quality ambient air (smoke from cigarettes, candles, incense, chimney, etc.). In this case, it is recommended that the airing of the room is checked (ventilation, air intakes, etc.). Such dirt deposits do not justify replacement of the electric toweldryer radiator under the terms of the warranty. Check it is properly fixed to its support. If the electric towel-dryer radiator is fixed to a hollow partition wall, it may vibrate. 44

Thank you for your choice and your confidence. The NEFERTITI INTEGRAL ROTATING electric towel-dryer radiator that you have just purchased was subject to thorough testing and checking to ensure quality and your complete satisfaction.
