The single unit contains two handles, the bottom lever handle sets the desired temperature and the top lever handle functions as an on/off, volume control. The temperature is maintained by a wax element moving a shuttle valve between hot and cold. The volume is controlled by twin ceramic disc valve cartridges. Ceratherm includes Hot Limit Safety Stop. Maximum temperature limit is 11 F. Escutcheon plate is stamped brass. Available with 1/" or 3/4" NPT inlets and outlets. The valve has a high flow rate, ideal for mutiple outlet installations. Integrated Stop Valves: Ensure easy cleaning and servicing. Adjustable Hot Limit Safety Stop: Limits the amount of hot water allowed to mix with cold. Reduces the risk of accidental scalding. Maximum water temperature limit may be reduced to 104 or 109 degrees Fahrenheit. SUGGESTED SPECIFICATION: Two handle Thermostat shall feature a cast brass valve body. Dry the faucet with a soft cotton cloth. DO NOT: Do not use any abrasive cleaners, cloths, or paper towels. Do not use any cleaning agents containing acids, polish abrasives, or harsh cleaners or soaps. Regular and routine cleaning will reduce the need for heavy cleaning and polishing. If heavy cleaning is required, the following procedures are recommended: Remove as much surface dirt and film using clear water and soft cotton cloth (as described above). Use any of the following to remove tough surface film and build-up: Mild liquid detergents Clear ammonia free liquid glass cleaners Non-acidic, non-abrasive gentle liquid or fully dissolved powder cleansers mixed according to manufacturers directions. Non-abrasive liquid polishers Once clean, rinse faucet again with clear water to thoroughly remove cleaner or polish and blot dry with a soft cotton cloth. Failure to follow these care instructions may damage the Faucet's finish.

4 1 TRIM INSTALLATION Remove PLASTER GUARD (1) if attached. Push CAPS ( & a) as shown onto CONTROL VALVES (3). Push ESCUTCHEON HOLDER (4) with lightly greased O-RING SEALS (5) over CAPS (, a). 3 4 TOP 1 Attach the FIXATION PLATE (7) to the ESCUTCHEON HOLDER (4) with the two SCREWS (6) provided. Push ESCUTCHEON (8) flush against finished wall. a INSTALL HANDLES Thread HANDLE SCREW (1) into VALVE STEM () and tighten to secure KNOB MOUNT (3). Align HANDLE (4) and push onto KNOB MOUNT (3). 3 Tighten SET SCREW (5) in handle with HEX WRENCH (6) SUPPLIED. Install HANDLE ADAPTER (7) onto TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB (8) and tighten with SCREW (9). 1 4 Align HANDLE (4a) and push onto TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB (8). Tighten SET SCREW (5a) in handle with HEX WRENCH (6) SUPPLIED. 5 4a a 6 3 TRANSPOSED SUPPLY PIPING OR BACK TO BACK INSTALLATION Should the hot and cold water supply pipes have been transposed making adjustment impossible, proceed as follows: Shut off water supply. Remove handle and rim. (Reverse steps 1 and ). Remove check stops and re-install them transposed. CHECK STOP (BLUE TO RED) Important note: RED CHECK STOP is now on the right of the mixer body and the BLUE CHECK STOP is now on the left. Turn the water supply back on and perform the temperature adjustment in step 4. Assemble HANDLES and TRIM. CHECK STOP (RED TO BLUE) M REV.1.3 (1/15)

5 4 TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT Loosen SET SCREW (1). Pull off HANDLE ASSEMBLY (). Check that arrow marking B points to the 1 o'clock position. If not, push the BLACK CLAMP on the SECURING RING to the right, pull off KNOB MOUNT (3) and reinstall KNOB MOUNT (3) with arrow "B" 1 o'clock position. See Figure 1. SET HOT LIMIT STOP The maximum mixed water temperature is set at 109 F at the factory. This setting can be changed if desired. Remove the TEMPERATURE LIMIT STOP (H shaped Red Plastic part). Reinstall it at the desired notch as indicated in the diagram to limit the maximum mixed water temperature to 104 F or 11 F. For 100 F adjustment, turn the water supply on. Turn KNOB MOUNT (3) until the spout temperature is 100 F. Check that arrow "A" on the KNOB MOUNT (3) still points 1 o'clock position after adjusting the thermostat to 100 F. If not, pull out the RED LOCKING DEVICE. Remove KNOB MOUNT (3) by pulling it towards you while standing directly in front of the valve. Reinstall the KNOB MOUNT (3) with arrow "A" 1 o'clock position. Reinstall RED LOCKING DEVICE. See Step for HANDLE () installation. Note: The Installation Hole must be clear to allow body spray clearance. Install the ELBOW (1) on a support within the wall at the *dimension shown. 27 3 INSTALL BODY SPRAY Remove the PLASTER GUARD (1) if not already removed. Make sure the O-RING () and FLANGE GASKET (6) are installed on the BODY SPRAY (3). Thread BODY SPRAY (3) into the ELBOW (4). Tighten BODY SPRAY (3) using WRENCH (5) supplied until flush against finished wall and FLANGE GASKET (6) is compressed. Turn on water supply and test installed BODY SPRAY (3) for leaks and proper operation FINISHED WALL 4 INSTALL ESCUTCHEON Align ribs on back of ESCUTCHEON (1, ), with slots in BODY SPRAY (3). Push ESCUTCHEON (1, ) against BODY SPRAY (3) until ESCUTCHEON (1, ) snaps into place. Turn on water supply and test installed BODY SPRAY (3) for leaks and proper operation. 32 1 ROUGHING-IN THE VALVE WARNING DO NOT SOLDER DIRECTLY TO THE VALVE BODY; THIS WILL DAMAGE THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL ELEMENT AND CHECK STOP VALVES. MIXED Prepare water supplies per ROUGHING-IN DIMENSIONS. Make sure the finished wall is between the minimum and maximum rough dimension. MIXED COLD Install VALVE at indicated height and depth. Make sure the "TOP" marking on the PLASTER GUARD is up. Connect the hot and cold water supplies. Assemble all connecting pipes. Flush lines to remove any dirt. Connections are 1/" NPT. Assemble the connection pipes to the MIXED OUTLETS of the VALVE. (Tub port is fitted with a plug at the factory). IMPORTANT! INSTALL ANY REQUIRED SHUT OFF OR DIVERTER VALVES INTO THE PIPING SYSTEM. If the CHECK STOPS (4, 5) were removed during installation, ensure the hot and cold CHECK STOPS (4, 5) are not reversed. The hot CHECK STOP (4) has a red top and the cold CHECK STOP (5) MIXED has a blue top. CHECK STOPS (4,5) are supplied in the open position. Closing using 5/3" (4 mm) hex wrench to pressure test and to check for leaks. To flush lines, remove the CHECK STOPS (4,5) and run water. If desired, the TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNIT can be removed. Reinstall CHECK STOPS (4,5) and CONTROL UNIT (6), if it was removed. Remove PLASTER GUARD () if still installed. Turn on water supplies and check for leaks. Reassemble PLASTER GUARD () and FINISH WALL. HOT 1 3 TUB PORT MIXED MIXED 6 WOOD BRACE MIXED HOT COLD 5 TOP CHECK STOP (COLD BLUE) TOP Beware of Freezing. No water should remain in the MIXING VALVE if freezing is a possibility. Remove the CHECK STOPS (4,5) to completely drain the MIXER UNIT (1). CHECK STOP (HOT RED) 4 TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT Unscrew PLASTER GUARD SCREWS and remove PLASTER GUARD. Check that arrow marking B points vertically upwards. If not, push the BLACK CLAMP on the SECURING RING to the right, pull off KNOB MOUNT and reinstall KNOB MOUNT with arrow "B" pointing upwards. ARROW "B" BLACK CLAMP The maximum mixed water temperature is set at 109 F at the factory. This setting can be changed if desired. Remove the TEMPERATURE LIMIT STOP (H shaped Black Plastic part). Reinstall it at the desired notch as indicated in the diagram to limit the maximum mixed water temperature to 104 F or 11 F. TEMPERATURE LIMIT STOP For 100 F adjustment, turn the water supply on. Turn KNOB MOUNT until the spout temperature is 100 F. Check that arrow marking A on the KNOB MOUNT still points upward after adjusting the thermostat to 100 F. If not, pull out the RED LOCKING DEVICE. Remove KNOB MOUNT by pulling it towards you while standing directly in front of the valve SECURING RING RED LOCKING DEVICE ARROW "A" KNOB MOUNT Reinstall the KNOB MOUNT so that the arrow marking A points upwards. 3 Reinstall RED LOCKING DEVICE. TRANSPOSED SUPPLY PIPING OR BACK TO BACK INSTALLATION Should the hot and cold water supply pipes have been transposed making adjustment impossible, proceed as follows: Shut off water supply. Remove handle and rim Remove check stops and re-install them transposed. Important note: RED CHECK STOP is now on the right of the mixer body and the BLUE CHECK STOP is now on the left.
