3 Introduction The availability of Bollgard II and Roundup Ready Flex technologies has greatly increased the ability to use skip row configurations and this has been very useful for growers in the current drought conditions. In the past couple of years our team has had many inquiries from growers, particularly irrigators, on how to plant these configurations using their existing planting equipment. While we know there are other methods and configurations being used, this document shows some of the more common set-ups for 8, 12 and 6 row planters and the patterns required to plant them in the field. We hope you find it useful and if you have any ideas that you think should be included in future editions, please let us know. 03

5 Six Row Planter 80 inch or 1 in 1 out Note: In the centre of the block there will be two rows planted side-by-side and a double skip on the outside of each block. This is reversed if the planter is set up the opposite way around. 05

6 Eight Row Planter Single Skip - Staying in the wheel tracks A Single Skip B Note: You will need two configurations. Note: Plant A first then fill the gaps with B. Single SKip - 9m Swath Note: This configuration will require GPS marked hills, as you won t be planting on existing wheel tracks. Note: Include a 1m gap between each set of eight. 06
