Entrance area For fifty years, Beck has been developing and manufacturing components for monitoring physical pressure which are sold throughout the world and used in every possible sector of industry.

In addition to mechanical pressure switches, which are the main product line, electronic pressure transducers are also being produced in increasing numbers.

3 Entrance area For fifty years, Beck has been developing and manufacturing components for monitoring physical pressure which are sold throughout the world and used in every possible sector of industry. The main areas of application are in the field of ventilation and airconditioning and in environmental technology. In addition to mechanical pressure switches, which are the main product line, electronic pressure transducers are also being produced in increasing numbers. All appliances are assembled with customer-specific bought-in parts at the company headquarters, where they are then finally calibrated. Building concept A crossways building development that is divided into two: an office complex in the north, with foyer, conference rooms, meeting point and cafeteria with outside terrace. Separated by the courtyard and roof garden section, which is landscaped throughout and designed on Feng Shui principles, the slightly offset production hall is positioned in the southern section. The dividing wall which runs along the side of the road separates the development s public and private areas. The dominant office section, which has been kept in the company colour of blue, floats above it. Site plan

Incorporation of concrete core activation, night air cooling with sufficient building storage masses, natural ventilation, roof landscaping and tanks for using rainwater and greywater. Foyer with inner courtyard The inner courtyards between sections pick up motifs from Far Eastern Feng Shui: water, plants, colour and light give the adjoining interior space a special feeling.

In the entrance area, a freestanding wall panel in red, which separates off the glass-enclosed landscaped inner courtyard, picks up the energy of visitors as they arrive, distributes it and forwards

Principles of Feng Shui The Feng Shui elements of energy and harmony were incorporated into the planning from the very start. In the entrance area, a freestanding wall panel in red, which separates off the glass-enclosed landscaped inner courtyard, picks up the energy of visitors as they arrive, distributes it and forwards it on to the staircase, the lift, the production sector, and right into the first floor offices. Areas of colour, calculated according to Feng Shui principles and located at particular points in the building, repeatedly raise the energy level and have a revitalising effect on both staff and visitors. The building shows how Feng Shui can be combined with modern architecture, practicality and aesthetic appeal. Access to the production area with second inner courtyard
