1 GENERAL STAND BUILDING REGULATIONS AND INFORMATION There are two types of stand available to exhibitors at Euro Attractions Show 2016 a shell scheme stand where the structure is purchased from the official stand contractor Freeman or a space only stand where the exhibitor is responsible for building their own structure and walls separating themselves from other exhibitors, as required, on each side of their stand where they adjoin another company. In addition, exhibitors choosing the space only stand option must provide suitable floor covering to the full area of their stand and secure this to the hall floor in an appropriate manner. All space only exhibitors must submit fully dimensional stand plans for approval by 23 July 2016 to aanson@iaapa.org. Complex structures including double decker stands or those with platforms over 50cms in height will be subject to inspection and will incur a charge for this service. General Stand Build Information - IMPORTANT Stand separating walls are not included in the stand space rental. All stand structures, signs, exhibits, etc must be contained and be the same size within the area allotted and may not project into or over the gangway. The standard building height for all booths is 2.50 meters. Any stand fitting over this height must be approved, in writing, by the Organisers prior to the commencement of the event. All outdoor and space only exhibitors who do not rent a shell scheme stand from our general Service provider Freeman MUST submit a drawing of the proposed stand layout to the Show Operations Manager Anna Anson ( aanson@iaapa.org) Drawings must include a top and side view of the exhibit, and indicate all dimensions. All advertising and logos must be within the specified height limits and must not be sited on the back of dividing walls, especially where they overhang an adjoining stand. Banners suspended above stands are subject to approval by IAAPA Show Management and the venue and must be shown on all stand plans/drawings. Partition walls or other booth equipment are not included in the EAS exhibit contract, exhibitors are requested to provide adequate stand fitting elements for partition between themselves and their neighbouring booths at their own expense. All stand structures must be completely self-supporting. Suspension may not be made from the roof of the exhibition halls, nor may any fixing be made to the structure of the building. Nothing may be drilled, attached or bolted to the hall floor.

2 It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to examine the site allotted pre-show in order to avoid costly adjustments to stand structures caused by any building obstruction or pillar. The Organiser will not accept any responsibility for this. Exhibitors demonstrating simulators or amusement rides and/or offering rides to show attendees or guests are solely responsible for compliance with all local laws and regulations governing the operation of rides, and for securing in advance all necessary approvals to demonstrate and offer rides during the event (please see Audience Participation Forms) Air-Conditioning: The installation of air conditioning units with warm air condensation is prohibited inside the halls. Balloons Any type of balloons on stands as decoration are only permitted with the written permission of the Organisers. Branding & Logos: The display of light beams or projections onto bare walls or gangways, etc is only permitted with the written permission of the Organisers and Venue. All requests should be submitted to prior to the event. Build Height: The minimum stand build height is 2.5m for walls adjoining other stands. Any stand over 6m in height will require the approval of both the Organisers and Venue and detailed plans should be submitted by 23 July Ceilings: Exhibitors may cover their stands but if a stand is completely covered the technical requirements for fire protection must be followed see details under fire regulations Stands at this venue may be viewed from above so please ensure that the top of all stands is finished in a tidy and suitable manner Children Children under the age of 18 years are not permitted in the halls or loading bays during the build and breakdown period of the event. This includes children of exhibitors and contractors. Doors: Doors must be a minimum of 2.1m in height and must contain a vision panels of a minimum diameter of 150mm. Doors must be set back so as to open outwards and not impinge on aisleways. Doorways must be kept free of obstacles at all times. Electrical Rules & Regulations All installations must be carried out according to the current Electrotechnical Low Tension Legislation and Complementary Regulations.

3 Electrical connections in the hall can only be completed by the official electrical contractor Freeman. Freeman can supply a full list of electrical rules and regulations for the show on request. The venue will not be responsible for damage or interruptions to the power supply. All supply boxes and service chests must remain accessible at all times. If you are building false flooring then an access chest to allow access must be included in your stand floor. Floor Marking: The stand area will be marked on the hall floor and all construction must fit within the marked area Flooring: The exhibitor is responsible for the removal and disposal of all flooring at the end of the event except where the flooring has been hired through Freeman the official stand contractor. Only approved double sided carpet tape (100% removable) is permitted and all tape must be removed at the end of the event. Any remaining tape will be removed and a charge for this service will be made to the exhibitor. No damage may be caused to the hall floor. All floor covering should be fire resistant to EFL standard (resistant to a brief attack of small flames with a limited spread of flames) and slip-resistant to Class 1 (Class 2 for stairs). Floors may not have holes of more than 15mm. If you are laying false flooring you must have an access panel to allow access to the electrical ducts which are located on the floors at any time. Lighting: Strobe lighting and flashing lights are not permitted. Lighting should be situated so as not to cause any disturbance to neighbouring stands. Any low level lighting (i.e less than 2.5m high) must be protected to prevent burns, etc. Motor vehicles Vehicles must not be driven into the halls. All internal transport - lifting work and forklift work - within the exhibition area is dealt with by the approved logistics contractor It is forbidden to allow engines to idle inside and outside the halls. All vehicles for display purposes must have an empty fuel tank. Paint: Only water-based paints are permitted. Protection from spillages, etc must be provided to prevent damage to the fabric of the hall and other stands. Flammable materials and the use of cellulose varnish, etc is strictly prohibitive. Spray paints are not permitted.

4 Pillars: It is permitted to clad pillars where they fall entirely within the stand area only. The maximum height of such cladding is 5m and any existent fire installations must remain visible and accessible at all times. Ramps Disabled Access: Stands with an access platform or walkway higher than 50mm must have a ramp installed. The minimum width of any ramp is 1000mm with a uniform slope of up to 1:10 and this must be totally within the stand area and with a level landing at the top and bottom of any ramp. Rigging: Rigging or hanging structures of any type can only be carried out by the official contractor of the venue. Please submit details to them of your requirements via the venue website. Stand Walls & Partitioning: Each exhibitor is responsible for providing their own structural walling either by hiring shell scheme from the official stand contractor Freeman or as a space only option. Walls must be provided to separate every exhibitor from each adjoining stand and sharing is only permitted where both parties have agreed this in writing and with the approval of the Organisers prior to the event The exhibitor is responsible for the structural safety of their stand. All build should have the necessary rigidity and stability so as not to involve any risk to people or property. Structures should not exceed the load capacity of the hall floor. Other Actvities Items of Special Risk: Activities including lasers, specialist lighting, water activities, smoke machines, etc all require special permission from the venue. Any such activity must be detailed with plans, method statement, risk assessment and other ancillary information and sent to aanson@iaapa.org by 23 July 2016 so the relevant permission can be applied for. FIRE & EMERGENCY REGULATIONS: It is not permitted to block or cover emergency exit signs. In covered structures properly maintained and illuminated emergency exit signs must be provided and it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to provide the necessary maintained illuminated emergency signage. Throughout the event tenancy period all escape routes and emergency exits must be kept clear and free from any obstacles including stand fitting materials.

5 Emergency exit doors must be at least 0.80m but not more than 1.23m wide. Such doors may not be lockable and should have a system of easy and fast opening on the side from which evacuation would occur. All emergency exit doors must open in the direction of the evacuation onto a level and unobstructed area. Building Materials: All stand fitting materials must meet Spanish build regulations or the equivalent. For ceilings and walls C-s2 (resists briefly to flames and burning of a single object both limiting the spread of flame, light smoke blockage) and d0 (no drops in 10 minutes) On flooring EFL (withstands brief flames and limits the spreading of flame. Any upholstered seats may not be combustible. Complex Structures Complex structures are defined as Double decker stands or stands with high-level platforms. Any stands with staircases Platforms and/or stages over 0.5m in height and any including a staircase Staircases Tiered seating Outdoor structures Any complex structure must be approved and signed off (following an onsite inspection) by the venue s competent person. There is a fee imposed for this service, this will be charged directly to an exhibitor. Structural calculations may be required along with dimensional drawings, description of materials to be used, load transmission to hall floor, verification of the solidity and stability of the structure including wind resistance for outdoor structures. Platforms and raising walkways used by the public must be equipped with a handrail of a minimum of 90cm. The handrail should withstand a minimum horizontal force of 1kN/m and designed so they cannot be easily climbed and without footholds between mm from ground level. Barriers with a minimum 50mm height should be provided around the edges of upper floors and landings to prevent objects falling. Any exposed corners must be rounded and the edges clearly highlighted. Double decker stands may have a maximum capacity of 1 person per 2sqm. The maximum capacity must be stated at the bottom of the staircase. Further information on loadings can be obtained by contacting aanson@iaapa.org Fire Extinguishers: For stands where demonstrations are taking place the exhibitor must provide suitable fire precautions/extinguishers. At least one relevant fire extinguisher must be provided on the upper floor of any double deck stand.

6 Fire Detections & Alarms Exhibitors may cover their stands with a ceiling structure provided the materials meet the DIN B1 or the equivalent standard. Relevant certificates must be available. Completely enclosed rooms must provide smoke detectors and a fire alarm system with CE certification. At least one smoke detector is required for each 60m. For stands of less than 350m independent, autonomous smoke detectors with integrated alarms are acceptable as long as they are certified according to the CE regulation. Conventional textile ceilings are classed as solid and will require a smoke detector to be installed. The sound of any fire alarm must have a minimum level of 65db or 5db above any other noise that will probably persist for a period of 30 seconds if this level is higher. The sound level should not exceed 120db at any point. Flammable Gases & Vapours The emission of toxic gases and vapours is not permitted as this could represent a risk to workers and visitors. Glazing All glazing used for stand building must be laminated or tempered safety glass and a minimum of 6mm in thickness but panels must also meet the following size requirements: 1100mm x 1100mm 2250mm x 2250mm 4500mm x 4500mm Over 4500mm 8mm thickness 10mm thickness 12mm thickness 15mm thickness Hot Works & Welding Welding and hot works are only permitted with the written permission of the Organisers and the venue in advance of the tenancy. At least one CE fire extinguisher with the corresponding permission must be provided when working with a fire risk. Late Working Late working and working outside of the published build and breakdown period will not be permitted except in exceptional circumstances. Permission will be via the Organisers Office or Floor Managers only. Motor Vehicles Motor vehicles used on exhibition stands must have only enough fuel to enter and leave the exhibition venue. All vehicles must have passed its MOT inspection or equivalent certification. Smoke Machines The use of smoke machines is permitted but they must have the appropriate certification and permission must be agreed in writing in advance of the show by the venue and the Organisers. In addition, please note that fire alarms, extinguishers, etc may be required. Please note that costs may be incurred for the disconnection of local venue smoke alarms, additional venue technical staff and security. Costs will be provided on application.

7 Smoking Smoking within the covered areas of Fira de Barcelona is not permitted. Staircases Any exhibitor with any type of staircase on their stand should contact for detailed rules and regulations that apply to such structures and their build/breakdown process including requirements for handrails, dimensions, etc. Costs for venue approval of the staircase will be incurred. Details are given elsewhere in this document or on application. Storage Storage of containers, packaging and/or any flammable material in or around the stands is not permitted even in areas that are not in use during the event. Waste Removal Exhibitors are responsible for the disposal of their own waste. Exhibitors/contractors should order suitable waste disposal containers from the venue and ensure that only the correct waste is disposed of and containers are not overfilled. Working at Height Operators working at height must wear suitable personal protective equipment. Stairs and ladders must be in a good condition and used only on a flat non-slip surface. Scaffolding should be in a good condition and bear the relevant EC markings. Any scaffolding should be correctly assembled and used only on a flat non-slip surface with the necessary toe-boards, etc in place. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES In an emergency situation exhibitors should take the following actions: Stay calm and avoid causing panic Report your emergency to he nearest member of Fira Barcelona staff or call the control centre on or use the emergency call points situated around the halls. Do not block emergency exits Use the emergency exits to evacuate, if necessary, walk do not run Follow the instructions given over the tannoy and by uniformed staff Do not use the elevators Remain at the relevant meeting point and inform emergency personnel if anyone is missing First Aid is available throughout the tenancy period please contact security personnel or the Organisers Office in case of emergency There is CCTV coverage throughout the building
