Compressed gas cylinders, including LPG, and all flammable or combustible liquids are prohibited inside the building. Any other exceptions require prior approval by the Convention Services Manager and the Fire Prevention Office. ( Kimberly Pires at kpires@iecshows.com if you plan to use gas of any kind in your booth.) Multi-level or covered contiguous areas in excess of 1,000 square feet are required to have a fire sprinkler system installed by a Nevada State licensed fire sprinkler contractor under the entire area and every level of a multi-level exhibit only when the following conditions apply. - The exhibit contains display vehicles. - The exhibit contains open flame. - The exhibit contains hot works. Any upper deck area to be occupied must have an approved plan with a State of Nevada engineered stamp. Multi-level areas that are greater than 300 square feet or which will occupy more than nine persons shall have at least two means of egress. Spiral stairways are not an approved means of egress. (Consult with the LVCVA Fire Prevention Office for the remote calculations on irregularly shaped decks.) Note: Limiting occupancy to nine (9) persons is not an acceptable alternative in lieu of this Life Safety Code requirement for remote staircases. Engineer Wet Stamp: Booth plans submitted shall be accompanied by an engineer s wet stamp to verify the integrity of the structure, per regional requirements -- or the documentation must be made available for review during onsite inspection of the exhibit on the show floor. Live-Load Rating: Booth plans submitted shall also include the live-load rating for the deck (minimum: 100 psf or 3.50 KN/m2) -- or the documentation must be made available for review during onsite inspection of the exhibit on the show floor. Onsite application of the required retardant may also be approved through a final field-test. 18 Inch Separation Between Booths: Each booth must grant a minimum of nine inches (9 / 23 cm) easement (only at the applicable side(s) of the booth usually the back or where the resident contractor supplied electrical lines are routed) to accommodate access to show electrical service.
